Anyone have experience with bad side effects on sema switching to micro-dose tirz? My daughter only got to 1mg sema (wegovy) and would be sick for 3 days straight after her shot. Looking to move her to micro-dose tirz to see if that works without the bad side effects. Her mother used tirz for a year and worked well with minimal sides.

Thinking about 0.5mg/week to start and slowly titrate from there. Marathon not a sprint, not time isn't a huge deal. With the wegovy pens, we had no control over the dose. With the tirz, I'm going to load into pen where I can control the dosage better (she doesn't like needles, so this is a way to hide it). Hoping the glp/gip function of tirz will enable us to get a response at a lower dose while minimizing sides. Have T15 and going to recon (at least the first vial) to 5mg/ml (0.5mg/10iu), so I can adjust the dose in 0.05mg increments if needed.

I had the opposite of a bad experience swapping from micro dosing sema to tirz. The most I could tolerate of ozempic was 0.22mg every 2 days or about 0.8mg/week. Any attempt to increase dose above 0.5mg a week made nausea and malaise worse, and had to resort to tiny doses often to try to get some hunger control, but there was still a fair bit of nausea. Only started it after losing 70kg. Swapping to tirz was easy , hardly any nausea as I increased the dose, one bout of skin sensory weirdness, but I did go up in 1mg doses per day or two to increase quickly with lower risks of bad side effects and got to 15mg in a month, with way less side effects, and less hunger than 0.8mg / week of ozempic.

The GIP agonism of tirz acts to counteract the nausea from GLP-1 agonism.

A lot of people switching from sema to tirz report way fewer GI issues. the dual pathway just seems to sit better with most people from what i've seen on here. not everyone but the trend is pretty consistent
Starting that low and working up slow makes a lot of sense especially after a rough go with sema. and the recon math gives you solid control over small adjustments so you're not guessing.
