I've been on TIRZ for 3 months.

My last 2 injections were 10mg/weekly. My subject will be switching from compound TIRZ to compound RETA

**** Can you give suggestions on a medium to a to slightly aggressive approach to switch to RETA? And, what RETA dose should the subject start with? For ex, lower TIRZ to 5mg/week and add a small dose of RETA??

I have 2 TIRZ injections left. I prefer not to buy more after this if possible. Thus, I hope to be completely off Tirz after that.

Thanks!
Tom

I think most people give it more than 3 months before switching. Are you having bad side effects? I think the max dose on tirz is 15mg, so you still had/have options.

I'm starting with sema because it's cheaper. Once I stall out completely, I'll switch to tirz.

Some people use sema and tirz, or tirz and reta.

But curious as to why you want to switch after only 3 months??

Switching from one to another will kind of require you do be on the same month as the previous, so if you were a 1mg sema that would equal to a 7.5 Tirz or an 8 Reta. I would only take one step down when switching to see if the new stuff is even effective, some suggest to restart from the bottom but it might waste time for you to get caught up to an effective dose for yourself. I ran into a Sema 2.4mg and a 5mg Tirz didn’t do anything till around 10mg Tirz. Everyone’s reaction to the next glp1 is different so if you want to be on the safe side and not be wasteful, start low and keep moving up til you feel it work. Hope this helps.
