Is it common for a someones tg to
Disappear.they posted about it on this forum but was curious what would cause this and it happened right as i was about to order for the first time so now im up in the air. Not to mention communication has been alittle flakey

Sent them a dollar in crypto just to make sure i dod it all right before i lose a whole amount and been 2 days waiting to hear back now they want the hash number to see if it went

TG accounts get nuked all the time - its certainly not an indication that they are a dodgy vendor in isolation. Ultimately though if you are having doubts and worrying about comms or it just not feeling right then you are better off walking away.

Agree with @Abrakebabra.

Asking for the hashtag from a transaction is standard. Remember, you send the payment anonymously. They have to be able to match it up at their end. Matching the hashtag is a lot easier and simpler than matching to the beginning and ending sequences of a wallet ID.
