Does anyone have suggestions for labs to test teso tablets? We are organizing a 3rd party test and considering Jano and Chromate, but welcome other suggestions.
Join us if interested in testing Nexaph teso released on 3/19!

Out of curiosity, what exactly are you resting for?
My understanding is that the "fill" is random in Teso tabs and can range greatly from pill to pill, or even within a pill. I believe someone used the example of a blueberry muffin.
So primarily you are testing for purity?

We are testing for identity confirmation. Purity is hard to test for in a tablet, but we want to make sure it is teso and also have some idea of the range of quantitation. We understand there should be up to a 150 mcg variation, but have heard that some tablets test 100s of mcgs below and above. It'd be good to know if that's the level of variation.

How many samples are you planning to send, then?

At Jano, that's 380 + 30/additional sample up to 5 total. That puts you at $500 for that test including the 5 total samples.
Also, when you get results that have a few hundred mg range in the tabs you sent, what do you do with that? Your choice is to dose or throw them away. It doesn't really help you to treat the dose any differently.

At least with the 9 day half life, the stronger pills and weaker ones will kind of level your dose out over time.

Very helpful and thank you for sharing!! All true too. I don’t know what the others in the group are thinking beyond “find more folks to lower the costs” but I was thinking that large of a range does indicate it would be prudent to cut tablets in 1/2 for research subjects w cardiac issues.
I suppose to your point, that prudence would be called for even w/o testing, so perhaps identity confirmation is sufficient to make sure it’s not sth else besides teso.

I base my dose under the assumption that it could be 500 or 900 in any pill. I started at 250- moved to 500 and then quickly went back to 250. As I taper down i feel my best bet is 1/2 every other day. It could be 250 or 100 or 400, but i am tapering.

Did you feel 500 was too much? What side effects or concerns made you decide to taper down?
The max I heard someone see in testing was 870, so that matches your assumption of 900. That said, 1/2 seems a pretty conservative start and then titrate up slowly.

I’ve read the range of undesired effects is mostly “no feels” to “can’t sleep” , and only 1 person said it made them super irritable. Maybe dry mouth too but that wasn’t too concerning to read about.

Any other things to watch out for?

Oh yes, i read teso should not be given with SSRI/SNRI/MAOIs.

Just to reiterate—thx everyone for sharing ! It’s so helpful to get your Qs and learn from you.

I was considering Teso for maintenance so a I did a trial run.

I cut my 500mcg tabs into four (actually, chopped them on a mirror and made into four kind of equal piles). I dosed ~125mcg three days on, one off, three on for a total of 1.5mg. I chose to stop taking it because it was affecting my heart rate. It took 92 days for the Teso to be completely out of my system.

I highly recommend you start slow, 125mcg maybe even every other day. The 9 day half-life will catch up to you.

I have seen a lot of people state that they love Teso but very few people take it for more than a month or two.

How do you know it took 92 days? Were you getting blood tests?
