I spent ages trying to work out what dose of tirzepatide might be equivalent to my dose of semaglutide, and calculated that 0.8mg/w sema would be somewhere around 3-5mg of tirz. As I had not discovered grey peptides it was only going to work if the dose was small and I could make each 60mg pen last at least 3-4 months, at $690 Aud / pen. This is my first week of tirz (2.5mg). I am coming over from wegovy 1mg pens. I wanted to start tirz at 5mg but I was nervous about side effects so i choose to begin on the starter dose.
No crazy side effects just a bit of burping but that went away in a day. I did notice that i felt appetite suppression within a few hours of injecting tirz which never happened to me on wegovy. I was pleasantly surprised.
However, i feel it wearing off by day 4. Im just now learning that the half life of tirz is 5 days not 7 like sema. I think i will go up to 5mg for my next dose and probably do every 5 days.
By the way i lost about 30lbs on wegovy in 3 months. Im looking forward to tirz i just have to find the right dose that works for me.
In the end it turned out completely different . Despite pretty bad nausea on 0.2mg of sema every 2 days, I had hardly any from tirz and not as much appetite suppression either, and to get hunger under control a bit better than sema ended up at 15mg of tirz, but with a lot less side effects. Thankfully I found this forum and cheap chinese peptides which solved the cost problem.
Effects and side effects from the different GLP's seem to be different for different people and any conversion chart is a loose guide at best, and you need to work out doses on hunger control and side effects.
