Hi all,

I have an order of Tirz that has been in my closet for about a year (sealed and lyophilized; not reconstituted to be clear).

I knew it is required to be refrigerated after reconstituting but didn’t realize the power should ideally also be frozen/refrigerated to prevent degradation.

Any concern using this?

No concerns, it'll probably be weak AF.

I would be interested about the pas of potency

I think studies are showing tirz to be remarkably stable, even at room temp. Hope so.

I had some I left out for about 3 months before sending in to test, it all came back perfect. But I don’t know if that accounts for degradation or not.

I use it every week and it seems to be working after 3 more months in the fridge.

Let us know!

Unless your closets get up to 100° and have bright lights in them, you probably won’t even notice a difference.

it’s fine. It wilI have lost maybe 5% of its potency.
Mmh I know it's stable and everything, but I doubt it's that low

I know for sure that it degrades to almost nothing when reconstituted in a few days at room temp. Does not make sense that it would only be 5% loss after a year even if it's not reconstituted yet. I think between 10-20 is more probable

I’m not just making it up. Am basing this on testing that was performed to evaluate degradation of lyo’d tirz over extended periods of time at room temp.

Also, it’s not correct that unrefrigerated tirz degrades to nothing in mere days upon reconstitution. Not sure how you came to that conclusion. It’s a very hardy little molecule.

Are you in the US? Here in Canada when you buy the legit thing, from Eli Lilly it comes in reconstituted vials already.

Pharmacies need to keep them refrigerated and mind you they don't pre-order, you need to call them and they call you back the day they receive it. Yet they still need to keep it refrigerated.

On the package, it also says to keep it refrigerated and discard if left at room temp for 24h (or something like that, been a long time since I used the real deal aha).

Mind you, this is advices from the company that actually made the product, they must have a good reason for that?

I wouldn't think it's about sterility since, it's done in a proper labs with very strict standards so it's already sterile, whether or not you keep it in the fridge is not gonna change that.

I'm no expert, I just think they require this for a good reason, but maybe I'm wrong
