Tirz v. Reta for Gastrointestinal Side Effects

My experience has been that Tirz slows things down but not so much to be a real issue (for me). Reta has caused some issues with stuff moving too fast in my experience. Not horrendous but noticeably more annoying than tirzepatide.
I know you didn’t ask but for anyone that didn’t already know this, sema is the worst in my opinion as it is king when it comes to causing constipation.

Hello and good Morning from Germany
My Experience with GLP-1 -Forum and Successful Weight Loss
At the beginning of 2024, I started my weight loss journey with Mounjaro before switching to Tirzepatide. A dose of 7.5 mg per week worked well for me. In the middle of the year, I came across Retatrutide, decided to try it, and had very positive experiences with it.
My starting weight was 131 kg (289 lbs), and my initial goal was 100 kg (220 lbs). However, I ultimately reached 94 kg (207 lbs). I am now in the process of determining the optimal maintenance dose, which ranges between 2.5 mg and 5 mg of Retatrutide. I have also experimented with a combination of 2.5 mg Kakri + 2.5 mg Retatrutide, but I have not yet drawn any final conclusions. However, I tend to believe that 5 mg of Retatrutide alone is sufficient to maintain my weight.
Positive Health Improvements
My overall health has improved significantly. My blood pressure has stabilized, and a previous issue with positional dizziness has disappeared. I attribute this directly to my weight loss. At times, I experienced mild digestive issues (constipation), but I successfully managed them with soaked prunes. I add these to my morning muesli, and they work very well.
My Current Lifestyle
Since January 2024, I have completely given up alcohol. Although I used to enjoy having a beer or a glass of wine with meals, I no longer miss it. Instead, I enjoy living more consciously. My diet is calorie-conscious, vegetable-rich, and protein-balanced. I eat a lot of salads and focus on maintaining a balanced intake. Additionally, I go to the gym twice a week and stay physically active.
My Conclusion
I feel that my current lifestyle is well-balanced and fulfilling. The decision to follow this path has been one of the best of my life. It wasn’t always easy, but it was absolutely worth it. I want to share my experience to encourage others to stay committed and patient on their weight loss journey. It is worth it!

Guten Morgen,
I’m considering using Reta for maintenance. I’ve been using TZ for over two years. I found your review helpful.

The help with less craving for alcohol is a plus and one reason I’ve continued with TZ after reaching my goal.

I lived in Germany for nine years. I picked up good eating, walking in the woods, habits while eating slower. My doctor was helpful when I struggled with a couple of illnesses. He said stop eating like an American and shop at our markets rather than the commissary on the base. I dropped my extra weight and my health improved. When I returned to the states my health declined. Using a GLP-1 has helped me live the lifestyle better. Daily wine drinking was one bad habit I picked up. €3 a bottle at Aldi for a nice bottle of red wine added to my dilemma.

All the best to you in your journey to a better wellbeing.

Reta gave me the runs a little, but that went away after a month or 2.
Tirz constipated me, but I take metformin too so it balanced out. Gave me some burps but that got better with time too. Best at really helping me curb my alcohol consumption (I need all the help I can get.) Worst thing about Tirz was the fatigue, still there 8 months in.
