Transfer from a bank in Europe to a bank in the USA

I paid triple for my transfer so that it would reach the bank in the US on the same day. It has been four days and the recipient has not received it. Is it normal for it to take so long in the US?

I know that the recipient's bank received the money on the same day because it debited my account, but the transfer did not arrive.

My employer has partners in Poland. The transfer time can be normal. The US doesn't recognize SORBNET or SEPA as a way of transferring funds. Typically times for transferring Euro can take as little as 1 business day, or as many as 5.

I can't comment on what you paid extra for -- I just don't know. With the Thanksgiving holiday coming up in the US (next Thursday and Friday), it may be good that you paid for the expedition, even if it wasn't as fast as promised.
