I'm doing two weeks of traveling next month. I generally dose every 5 days but will be doing every 7 on the trip. I'd like to travel minimally with my vials and syringes - do I really have to keep it cold for those two weeks, or is room temp fine? What about room temp while I move between hotels? If I do need to keep it cold I can do that with a small thermos and ice.

TIA!

Lots of options here, these are a few I have seen:
Get an injection pen and cold case like used for insulin, easier to transport and run through airport, many sell them online or you can look here on this forum: Supplies

You could also have small vials and write off loss as lyophilized do not require cold as reconstituted does. Just toss out a few bucks of unused, if you can afford.

Thermos would work if not taking a plane and would likely be an easy solution.

Some would say pinning 2x over two weeks and having minimal exposure to heat would be ok with proper cleaning, alcohol before and after on vial.

If you are confident in your BAC/Sterility
This what AI says
To keep Mounjaro cool while traveling, place it in an insulated bag or cooler with ice packs in your carry-on luggage. Avoid placing Mounjaro in checked luggage, as it may be exposed to temperature fluctuations. Ensure the Mounjaro is not frozen, as this can damage it.

Detailed Information:
  • Carry-on luggage:
Mounjaro should be kept in your carry-on bag to prevent exposure to extreme temperatures and pressure changes that can occur in the checked luggage hold.

  • Insulated bag/cooler:
Use a bag specifically designed for storing medications that need to be kept cold, similar to those used for insulin.

  • Ice packs:
Pack ice packs or gel packs in the insulated bag to maintain a cool temperature. Make sure the Mounjaro pens or vials are not directly resting on the ice packs, as this could damage them.

  • Room temperature storage:
If refrigeration is not possible, Mounjaro can be stored at room temperature up to 30°C (86°F) for up to 30 days.

  • Airline travel:
You can travel with Mounjaro through airports, but you may need to declare it to security and keep it in a clear, plastic bag. Check with your specific airline for their policies on transporting medications.

  • Avoid freezing:
Never freeze Mounjaro, as this can damage it.

  • Avoid extreme temperatures:
Do not leave Mounjaro in hot places like the dashboard of a car or in direct sunlight.

  • Discard if exposed to extreme temperatures:
If Mounjaro has been exposed to extreme temperatures or frozen, it may be unsafe to use and should be discarded, according to Voy.

this is what EL says about the subject

How should I store Mounjaro

  • You should keep Mounjaro with you when travelling. If needed, patients and caregivers may store unused Mounjaro vial at room temperature, protected from light, for up to 21 days.
  • We recommend that when you travel you should keep Mounjaro with you (e.g. plane, car, bus, train, etc.).
  • Do not pack Mounjaro with checked luggage. It is possible for luggage hold areas to have wide changes in temperatures. These temperatures may be too cold or too hot for Mounjaro.
  • Remember that it is always better to keep Mounjaro as cool as possible if you cannot refrigerate Mounjaro between 2°C to 8°C. Storing Mounjaro between 2°C to 8°C is the best temperature to protect it.
  • Never freeze Mounjaro as this can damage the medicine.
  • Refer to the airline you are flying with for information about their travel policies, including travelling with medication.
