I started this for a cut after gaining weight in perimenopause, but I'm now starting month 3 on 1mg/week and the mental benefits have been remarkable. Before reta, my brain was constantly running 24/7 - not just food noise, but everything noise. Racing thoughts, health anxiety, catastrophizing, rumination…it never really shut off.

Now? The background noise is almost gone. My mind feels quiet for the first time in years, I can actually focus. The constant anxiety and spiraling have dramatically decreased. I genuinely didn’t expect this. The weight loss is great, but the mental peace has been miraculous for me.
I had only planned on being on reta for 6 months or so, but once my cut is done I'm seriously considering staying on a low dose of 0.25mg long-term just to keep this peaceful feeling in my head.

Has anyone else experienced this “brain finally got quiet” effect on reta? I've done a lot of searching but don't see this mentioned very often.

I'm very early in my cycle of reta, and at a very low dose still, but I have been wondering whether my slightly different mood has been because of reta or just a coincidence. My mind races at night and I have a hard time falling and staying asleep partly because of that. I have had the best sleep in a long time the last two nights, and I felt motivated when I woke up. Could absolutely just be a coincidence though, guess in the coming weeks I'll see if it sticks.

I experienced the exact same thing and chalked it up to placebo/getting excitable about being on a fitness and healthy eating plan but 3.5 months in and I still feel the same way. Things I used to dwell on are more like water off a ducks back for me now. I hope this continues throughout!

Just food noise. Maybe if I titrate up far enough the other noise will lessen if I'm lucky. I'm glad it's helping you. 👍

I feel happier. The rumination isn't as bad. First pin had me feeling elation; almost like I was being surrounded by a blanket that was just taken out of the dryer. Mmm. Maybe I should go pin right now...
