Pun intended.

We’ve all heard certain peptides can be a bad habit killer and I’d love to hear success stories from you all!

To anyone supplementing because of general benefits: what changes have you seen outside of weight loss? Did your screen time go down? Did you stop smoking? Did you finally go no contact with your parents? If you answer yes to this question, I’ll learn mandarin to properly thank your vendor.

To the fatties/former fatties: have you noticed any insecurities disappear? what do you do now that you don’t (over) eat all the time? More importantly, what do you think about?

(I say fatties with love and laughter - A 307lbs gal)

I can be stuffed and still imagine taking down a slide of cheesecake. Not because I want to, but because… cheesecake is good and my brain tells me to have it right now! Food noise is a bitch and I’d be 100 pounds lighter getting rid of that incessant whisper alone. It feels like having the devil on both shoulders, and boy, does he make hell sound sweet (and New York styled)

I’ve made active strides to change my habits in a major way and I’m even in therapy right now. But what do I do when my life doesn’t revolve around food? I feel like I’ll get to fly for the first time but where to? Lots of questions, I know. But I promise to read every answer.

XO Betty

I don't really drink anymore. I had a hell of a first 5 months to the year, and did try to drink once and wallow in alcohol with my girlfriends. But after one drink I was like.... ew. This doesn't even taste good! So I count that as a win for my waistline and my wallet.

I had bought some "weight loss" clothes that I thought I would wear after 20-30lbs. I waited too long and those clothes became too big on me and I ended up selling and donating all of them. So that was good but also bad because some were cute and I never got to wear them!

I also went on vacation in April which included a ton of walking. My last vacation was last June which also included a lot of walking and even though I was working out, carrying around my body was...
I had a closet full of clothes that shrunk in the wash, I assume, that I now have given away. I went from them being too tight to them being entirely too large. I did keep a few.. just in case..

I only have a few cocktails 2x a week, and that has not changed much, and my other vices are intact as well.

I can buy clothes without elastic! My belly does not push my pants down! no more plumbers crack!
I don't have to put shorts/sweats on to be "comfortable"

Many such wins!

oh...Blood pressure and RHR down to normal levels.

Honestly, hearing that you got too small for your small clothes excite me! That must’ve been an insane mind fuck. I have outfits I’m “saving” but I never thought I’d get too small for them, wow. How much weight have you lost in total?

I can't kick the vape, but I HAVE quit putting nicotine in it. It's just menthol minty vapor now.

My drinking is down like 90%.

My anxiety is much better- I have a medication that you take 3x a day (buspar) and I used to be able to tell when it was time to take my next one. I think the slowed gastric emptying might be keeping it in my system more smoothly.

I also went on vacation in April which included a ton of walking. My last vacation was last June which also included a lot of walking and even though I was working out, carrying around my body was exhausting and after a week I was just completely done. This past April, being 50lbs down, I walked 25k-30k steps a day for 5 days and it didn't even phase me. It's just so much lighter carrying around a 160lb body than a 210lb body!

I still love food. It's the best. Not much beats a good meal. What I have found is that I can still have all of the things that I love and want (especially on vacation) but in smaller quantities and I'm still just as satisfied and happy. There's nothing wrong with ordering a great meal at a restaurant and taking half home to finish the next day... I don't have to sit there and stuff the entire meal into my face. I can share a dessert and still be just as happy as if I had my own. I can eat one piece of chocolate most of the time and be satisfied. It's been nice learning that life is just as good if I moderate and take things slow.

That being said, there are still certain times of the month where I eat an entire pan of brownies for dinner. Sometimes it do be like that.

Love that you’ve found balance with how & what you eat. I hope this journey leads me there.

Started at 226 for a guy about 5'9" was uncomfortable- I wanted to get to 185, but once I realized it was easily achievable I looked at BMI recommendations and wanted to be "normal" BMI. , so I kept going until I hit 163lb. Currently fluctuating between 164 and 161, so like 64lbs.
