Weaning off before pregnant

still in the research phase of my reta journey. Was going to try to get pregnant soon and start reta after my baby would be born/breastfeeding but my doctor mentioned i should try to lose some weight before getting pregnant.

I don’t consider myself obese but i’m 165lb and only 5ft tall so she’s worried of gestational diabetes and other concerns.

how long did you wean off of reta or other glp before getting/trying to get pregnant?

I went off of reta 8 weeks before trying just to be on the safe side.

Many people get pregnant on these glps and stop when they find out- many anecdotal stories on Reddit because these meds actually help in aiding with fertility. Just type in Ozempic babies! Doesn’t seem to be an issue, but wean off to stay safe I’d say!
