What dose of reta are you at?

At 1 mg per week, I’m in my 5th week, and around days 5–6 I’ve started noticing the food noise coming back slowly, so I’m thinking about increasing the dose. I started at 259 and I’m down to 243 as of this morning.

I may switch to 1 mg every 3–4 days, or just move to 2 mg once a week. I’m going to do a bit more research before I decide.

1mg, started yesterday! Already no food cravings and I feel full after drinking a little bit. Kinda have to force myself right now to get it down lol
Would this by chance be your first GLP1? It seems those who have used Oz or Tirz before switching to Reta do not find the satiety that they did with those two to be as powerful with Reta. I'm just making mental notes for meself on this phenom. 🫡

Stated in new year , first week 0.5mg, second week 1.0. Third 1.5 , then finally 2mg Reta which I'm on now , should be every seven days but I'm finding by about 5-6 I'm hungry so it seems to be every 5-6 days rather than seven .
Started at 98kg now 92kg. I'm happy with what I'm loosing so will stay on 2mg until stall . I'd like to get to 70kg which is what my BMI calculation says I should be
I'm only a few weeks in, but this is the path that I followed as well. Week one was .5, week two was 1, three was 1.5. I experienced appetite suppression from week 1, but it trails off by day 5 or 6 as mentioned above. My goal in starting small and making small increases was to titrate up and better visibility into dosing if any negative side effects creep in. Currently, I am sticking to a 7 day cycle, and I am hoping once I get up to a little higher dose or have a higher therapeutic level that the suppression will stretch the whole week.

If it hasn't improved after a month or two in the higher dose range, I may look at splitting the dose and doing twice a week, but I want to give it an earnest shot at working before going that route.

I started at 0.5mg just to make sure no real adverse effects since it's my first glp1. Then 1.0mg the next week, slowly titrated up to my current 3mg/wk at almost 4 mos. I've lost 15lbs but only trying to lose 1lb/wk since I'm older to try to minimize loose skin and muscle loss. Want to lose about another 15lbs.

4.5 months in and just ramped up to 5 mg. I’m losing fat at a conservative rate for me (about 0.8–1.5% per week), which fits my calorie intake given my activity level. Side effects have been very minimal. I did notice a slight increase in heart rate, but it’s been fine.

It is my first GLP1, yes! I’ve only ever lost weight the “natural” way prior and I’m pleasantly surprised how well I seem to be reacting to it 🙂

Suspicion confirmed, tyvm. I do hope it gives you plenty of positive results.
By the bye, it was about a 6 month "stall" that prompted me to look into weight loss meds and eventually found my way here and then grey. I believe I said, in one of my first posts, " I'm going to take a week to learn about all this stuff (peptides) "...
I was then told something akin to, "You'll need more than a week". lmao
How right they were. STILL "LEARING"! 😉🤣

Calling .8-1.5% per week “conservative” seems like a stretch.

Started my Reta journey back in September 25. Started initially on a 0.5mg dose, and im glad I did because it appears I was one of the lucky ones that got a real result from a super low dose.

Couple of weeks later I went up to 1mg, few weeks on 2 and so on.

I took a break over the festive period for 2 weeks without any dose and started again early 26. Since then, ive not had much appetite suppression so jumped up to 4mg over a few weeks.

This week (week 2 of 4mg) and im still not getting much in the way of suppression to be honest. Ill stick with it and maybe go up to 5 shortly.

Weight loss wise, its rookie numbers compared to some but that was never my goal - Im down about 9kg but I was at about 20% BF to start with. It was only ever intended as a 'aid' in my cutting schedule. Then I realized how easy its made things and stuck with it - now ive got a whole kit in my freezer 😆

Lmao. Thank you very much! I was a little worried at first, because I have PCOS, which is giving me a harder time dropping weight. On top of that, I LOVE food, which didn't make things easier. I'm super happy that, so far, it seems to be going well. I'm curious how my journey will go from here and I'm hoping to get rid of these annoying 20 extra kilos. I hope you'll be able to reach your goals too!

You're absolutely right though. I researched for a few weeks before I decided to order peptides and I'm still learning. Yesterday GHK-CU caused me a tinnitus for about 10 minutes - very strange and unexpected 😛

Been on tirz since October, had been at 5mg/wk. Started reta 3 weeks ago at 2mg, 3 days off from my tirz injection. Did 2 shots of 2mg and last week did 4mg. Will start tapering the tirz off by a couple mg from this point forward and go to 6mg reta for next week shot. It's a little accelerated from clinical trial but I have tolerated everything well to this point.

Conservative is relative. For someone stable on GLP-1s with adequate protein and training, that rate isn’t extreme.

"Not extreme"≠ conservative.

You say .8-1.5% per week, aside from that being a huge variation, that means in the 19 weeks mentioned you've lost 14-25% of "fat" which I assume to not literally mean fat. Readers shouldn't see this and consider it to be "conservative" or typical.

Previously I was on Sema and then Tirz. In early January this year I switched to Reta and titrated up to 8 mg pretty quickly because i know my body can handle it, it was awesome. It has been 5 weeks that i'm on 8 mg, and i feel the suppression is a little weaker now, so i'm going to titrate up to 10 mg tomorrow. I'm also stacking it with 2 mg of Sema on a different day, Monday for Sema and Thursday for Reta.

I am one of those who are on the aggressive side and not afraid of raising my doses quickly, and i don't mind going above the recommended dosage because i think i'm one of the rarer kinds that respond well to the medication, but also build tolerance quite quickly. So the best strategy for me is to go hard and fast while remain somewhat healthy at the same time.

You’re conflating “not extreme” with “conservative” as absolute labels rather than relative ones.

The rate cited is relative to my baseline, intake, and activity, not meant as a general recommendation. Also, extrapolating a weekly percentage linearly over 19 weeks ignores metabolic adaptation and the fact that weight loss is not purely fat mass.

No claim was made that this is typical or universally conservative. Only that it has been conservative for me given context.

Howdy.
Im 7 months into my reta testing.
Down 43lbs from a high of 335lbs
Im 5'11" male, I lift fairly heavy at least 3 times a week.
I'm currently on my 5th week at 12mg.
I dose every 6 days rather than 7, I find the day before a redose is too saturated with food noise otherwise.
My scale and watch both agree Ive put on about 5lbs of lean mass in these seven months so the slower weight loss is okay with me.
I am about to start a second run of klow. I did the first run 5 months ago, I figure a couple of cycles during the weight loss phase can't hurt on the skin side of things.

I'm currently on 1mg dose. I pin Friday evenings. 3 and a half weeks in. I'm down about 5 pounds so far and 1.5 inches off my stomach. Friday I plan to up to 2mg. This week I didn't feel the appetite suppression like I did the last two weeks, but I'm still trending down.

I'm on 2mg reta, once a week.
I started at 1mg, and did that for two weeks. I'm on week 10 now. It's been great! Minimal side effects atm aside from some skin issues.

Started at 0.5 for 2 weeks, 1mg for 2 weeks, and just hit 1.5mg. Plan to stay in 3-4mg upper range myself eventually.

Went from .5mg, to 1mg, to 2mg. I do a month at each dose. About to up it to 3mg.

Im also on the more aggressive side since I didn’t get any sides even with max dose sema, I went up to 4mg pretty quickly. Curious, did you experience any sides at all with Reta?

I just started 10 mgs/week. I have been titrating up since June. Last month, I started titrating my sema down to see if Reta alone will handle my food noise, but if I am totally honest, I am okay with taking them both forever. For the first time in my life, I am at peace with food,

I know they say start low and go slow, but I came from Tirz high dose. I titrated up over 8 weeks, then I was on 8 mg for 2 months, now down to 6 mg the last 3 weeks, because I got anhedone.
I'm very close to my goal weight, so it's slow weight loss now.
Me too!

I came from 12.5 mg Tirz and went from no Reta to 8 mg Reta in 8 weeks. Love Reta!
