What dose of reta are you at?

Started at 1mg and planned to go up to 2mg after a week or 2 but weight kept dropping over 3 lbs per week and I can't afford to lose muscle. Still at 1mg on 4th weekly dose and may stay here until weekly loss drops below 1%. I'm apparently a strong responder.

Side effects are tolerable so far - lower energy at the gym, restless sleep, mild upset stomach. No hurry to move up. I didn't think this through when I started on an R30. Gonna take a long time to get through that vial since my wife is also staying at 1mg. Oops.

I had been at 15mg Tirz in a stall for 6 months swapped straight to 8mg of Reta two weeks ago
any difference in RHR and did you start losing again? I'm about to do the exaxt same switch I'm at 15mg tirz and just got a year's supply of reta. Wanted to start at 1mg but wasn't sure. Any recommendations?
Yes, I'm sure some was water weight.
My dose is now 2 mg a week (1 mg twice a week) and I'm down to 195 lbs.
that's honestly great, congrats! I'm starting reta this morning but at 2mg since I've been on tirz at 15mg for 6+ months. keep it up 🫡

Do 2mg for 4 weeks and go from there. Lilly studies go 2-4-8-12. I don't understand these small doses. The stuff doesn't bite. To each their own I guess.
Phase 2 studies may have done that, I'm not sure. There was a slight refinement in phase 3. TRIUMPH-4 and TRANSCEND-T2D-1 both did 2-4-6-9-12.

I've been on Reta for a little over 2 months now. SW was 192, CW is 170. I've settled on 4mg at the moment. Some days I actually struggle to hit 1700 calories so I dont think going up is the move. With that said, if i find myself stalling in weight loss (more than like 2 weeks) I may consider going to 5mg. I'd preferr to never go over 6mg though.

What's your goal weight?

Just curious, why the aversion of over 6mg? My personal desire is to not have to dose to the point of getting sides that cause a negative shift to the quality of life.

Im not really worry about sides. Honestly my main goal is to find a sustainable dose that can be used for the forseeable future (life?). I suppose I worry that if I titrate up more, I could possibly get used to it then have food noise slowly come back and need to titrate more and more.

Not sure what my goal weight is as Im at roughly 12% BF at the moment, I think Im going for around 8-9% BF. At that point, Ill up my calories to maintanance and lower the Reta dosage to sustain that new BF.

Ah, you're not a big'n... that makes more sense.

Food noise was one of my primary problems leading to weight gain. I still get some on Reta, but appetite control is great and the occasional food noise has proven to be inconsequential to my weight loss endeavors.

Did 8mg Reta get you un-stalled? I'm at 12.5mg Terz, about to up it to 15, but only have 6-ish week of Terz left...time to make the switch, I think!

Like due to that 4-8mg jump. I'm actually 2-4-6-7 now for 2 more weeks. Not sure where I'll go next yet.

Did you cycle them as in take a break between them and or between them and starting reta?
Yep

And I know where you’re going with this. There is no scientific evidence that glp receptors burn out, but was 2 years between sema and tirz long enough for you? I think the receptor down regulation theories are a lot of bro science.

I'm working on switching from Tirz to Reta for maintenance. Tirz just has too extreme of an appetite control for me, even at just 5mg. So now I take 4mg of Tirz and added 1mg of Reta 3 days later going to run it for a month, drop Tirz again to 3mg and up Reta to 1.5 and so one until I can find a nice balance of mainly Reta and a microdose of Tirz for added, slight appetite suppression.

2mg a week for the last month and it’s working too well I might need to bring it down to 1.5 or 1mg a week 😅.

I'm almost a year in. I'm 70 pounds down and have another 30 pounds I want gone in the next year. In the end, I went against most recommendations. I went hard and fast instead of slow and low. Well, for the first 5 months, I followed conventional wisdom and went low and slow and focused on protein and resistance training. Weight loss was sooo slow (about .5-1 pound a month) and then my weight started going UP in November. I said 'fuck this' and shot up to 10 mg reta, 4 mg tirz, and 2mg cagri per week. I still get some cardio and some resistance training, but not a lot. The focus is getting rid of as much fat as possible, as quick as possible, understanding that I may have some muscle that gets lost along the way. I have no regrets.

😂

So does your response to Reta, your response to this thread, and probably your response to life.

Don’t know who you’re mad at, but I know it isn’t related to me.
He's obviously mad it didn't work for him.

I reached my targeted weight and then some. Reaching my macro targets daily. Still losing 2kg a week, faster than I expected lol
4.5lbs/week is too fast from what I know. How much have you lost total, starting and current weight? I'm generally curious.

Only been on it a month started at 99kg and at 94kg thr last 2 weeks has seen a steady 2kg drop a week. I’ve tried to mitigate that by having one refeed day. Basically had more carbs and saltier foods to refill my glycogen. It increased me a kilo for a day did look a lot leaner lol. Down to 94.2 again.
