What dose of reta are you at?

Aren't people worried about going to the higher doses? Cuz where is there to go from there? It seems like a lot of people are comfortable going to the "max" of 12 mg weekly pretty quickly.

I'm at 8mg, and not sure I'll need 12mg. 10mg would be next if needed. This has taken 5-1/2 months to get there.

Agreed. I've been at 4mg (split to 2mg/2mg) for a couple of months now and my body won't let me go higher (yet) so I'm sticking around until my body is ready. I'm doing it low and slow, started from 0.5mg since December of last year.

ive been at 2.5 on and off as i couldn't get filters so i had to stop reconning for a bit. If i was more consistent I hope I could see some results; but my plan is to increase every 2-4 weeks until i see results even if i need to go to 15 or above. I'm an adult I can understand consequences - but I've been stuck at a certain weight plateau for 2 years even on tirz and can't break through no matter what/diet/plan/anything. There was a study that stated that 100% of clinical trial partcipants had weight loss on reta it just depended on which dose and some were higher. So im looking forward to starting up again next week and just moving higher until the fat comes off or i'm 99% reta by volume lmaooooo

wk 1-4 : 1mg
wk 5-8 : 2mg
wk 9-12 : 3mg
wk 13-16 : 4mg
wk 17-20 : 5mg
wk 21 - 22 : 6mg - broke my 4wk rule for the first time
wk 23 : 8mg (6mg + 2mg) - going rogue. go big or go home

Total : 80mg of reta over a course of 23 weeks
Weight loss : zero
Weight gain : zero

I will be switching to cagri soon as the food noise on high dose reta has taken over my life.

Gosh that sucks.

I’ve taken 245mg of Reta and have lost .2lb/mg of Reta taken, or 4.9mg/lb lost in 20 weeks (50lb)

I started on Tirz for nearly a month, used 12.5mg during that time to lose .8lb/mg or 1.25mg/lb.

12mg is assuredly not the actual max.

At 7mg right now. Been on since Feb. I def feel a drop off in hunger suppression opposed to when I initially started, even at 6mg dose there is still food noise. Lost around 30 lbs though, but now am at a place where weight is much more difficult to drop. Will keep ramping up slowly to the 8-10mg range. Hoping the glucagon and GIP are still firing away since the glp-1 suppression is weak.

1mg every 4 days, just took my 3rd

Seems to allow me to still enjoy food, still get hungry or know I should eat, zero sides so far except maybe sensitive skin here and there

By the last day in starting to feel real hunger again and then I just redose and all is well .

Lost about 8-10lb in 8 days which is a little fast but as everyone says “it’s just water weight”

Not a little fast, a lot fast.
I agree, though from scanning the forums it seems a lot of people drop a ton the first few weeks.

Have been using chronometer to have a rough idea of my nutrient intake

Went from 224ish to 214ish

have been doing light but long jogs every other day and strength training about as much

To top it off, feeling amazing

Nah it's fine. I have maybe about 5-7 lbs to lose - just some stubborn aging weight I've gained over the years. I initially thought I lost a few pounds but weighed myself at the gym the other day and the scale did not budge at all.

Everyone in my family has very strong insulin resistance and a few have died from complications from diabetes. So I kind of knew going in this wouldn't really work as well for me.

Congratulations on the HUGE weight loss! Glad reta is saving lives.

I think you could just inject into a sterile vial. Obviously it wouldn't include the level of preservatives that are in a multidose vial so it just depends on your risk tolerance. I do know of many that are splitting Zepbound vials/pens and haven't heard of any issues though and some people do just dilute their peps with sterile injection water without alcohol.
I actually did find a video showing a guy doing exactly that-- injecting a vial with the Mounjaro autopen. Looks fairly straightforward. Pinned my first 2mg of reta yesterday (so far so good) and going to add half my heretofore typical weekly tirz (from my PCP) dose tomorrow. I'm kind of psyched.

Started 0.5mg for 2 weeks then went up to 1mg for the 3rd and 4th week when I started. After which, I went up to 2mg for my 2nd month. Still at 2mg now in the middle of my 3rd month and plan to stay on it as I still lose weight.

For me the idea is to be on the minimal effective dose and stay on it.

At the moment I take 6mg/week divided in 2, Monday 3mg, Thursday 3 mg. since now I lost arround 10 kg, but I came from Mounjaro high dose.
Anyway, I plan to add Tirz to Reta ...

I know everyone is different but I read a lot of posts where people start at low doses and don't need to titrate up that high of a dose.
I'm curious as to if people go all the way up to 12mg like in the clinical trials, if if they have reaped most benefits at lower doses.

So my question is:
How long have you been taking Reta for?
Where along are you in your journey?
What is your current dosage?
I been on it for 1 week, and i started with 1 mg first week, I dont think illl ever go over 4 mg a week

That depends on your situation. I had said the same when I was reading studies before I started, and now I'm on 8mg.

Good luck

This is what I said week 1 because it worked so good out of the gate, but on weeks 2-3 the appetite suppression dropped pretty heavy for me.

I'm going up to 2mg now in a few days

I'm at 2 mg every 7 days. Started a bit over a month ago at 1 mg per week. Decided to bump up to 2 mg at week 5. Working well for me, lost about 10 lbs so far. About 18 more to go for goal.

250mcg of Cagri was a game changer on 5mg reta and continued hunger. I would suggest investigating that as an option, but take it very slow with Cagri, it is powerful. I titrated up to 500mcg and it's too much, 250 remains the sweet spot imo, though your results may differ.

0. Had to stop due to hypotension. Also I felt like crap. Now on Tirz.
People all respond differently.

8mg every 5 days. i started on 4/3 @ 229lbs, but the past few days i've been plateaued at 190lbs. if i don't drop additional weight by 6/12, i'll just up the dose again to 10mg or 12mg.

i believe that as long as one is willing to endure the side effects, there's really nothing wrong with titrating rapidly.

So that’s like nearly 10 wks, for an average loss of nearly 4lbs a week. At that rate I think you’re likely to be losing muscle weight as well.

Hey, we all make our own choices, so you do you.. but if it were me I’d only consider it a plateau if I stayed at the same weight for 10-14 days. I’d also titrate down a step in the next 4wk phase to try to hit no more than -2lbs a week on average.

give or take, yes. 21lbs in the first 4 weeks, 16lbs in the next 4 weeks. as for the muscle, i would neither be surprised, nor care much for it personally. at the end of the day, it's nothing i can't rebuild within a month or two at the gym, if i find that it affects my daily life enough. my sole focus is overall weight going down.

i've been hovering at 190/191 for the past 5ish days, so for me it's a plateau, given the rate of weight loss rate to date. i did start 8mg about 5 weeks in and have been taking that dose since, so i figure it's time to bump it up regardless.

I’d also titrate down a step in the next 4wk phase to try to hit no more than -2lbs a week on average.
to each their own. my goal is to hit 170's at some point by next month, so i'd personally rather not slow down for any reason. given that i'm not experiencing fatigue or any other side effect that would have an impact on my quality of life, i see no real reason to taper down as it is.

.5 - 2 mg/week... I'm not trying to kill my appetite. With Reta, I still get my food in, but I don't feel the need to eat. I like it more for my blood work with TRT and HGH...
