I believe those are the correct terms! Something to move money from my bank to crypto (before sending there to a different wallet for final transaction). I looked at both Kraken and Coinbase. Any other options I should know about?

Does Robinhood also do USDT?

Similar method for me; I make an online transfer from my bank account to Coinbase, exchange for USDC (no fee), then send to my Exodus wallet. I send the USDC to the vendor on the Ethereum network (shows as ERC-20) from Exodus. Very little gas fee, I think it was less than 25 cents for my last purchase. USDC doesn't have any volatility at all so you don't have to worry about holding on to it too long and possibly losing value like you do with Bitcoin.

I use Crypto.com. They ask the least amount of questions.

Kraken is pretty easy to use once you are initially setup. I guess they are all much the same though. Revolut is another option.

I use Coinbase to buy USDT and then I transfer it to exodus wallet(ETH network)
I think it costs my few cents the transaction

I use Robinhood and am Exodus wallet! No issues so far and easy to use! Make sure you do the 12 word code on exodus before buying and transferring crypto or it may take longer to verify if you plan to use exodus 🙂

I do exactly the same thing

I use Robinhood. Just like Coinbase I can exchange USD for USDC for no fees.

As long as I have money in my Robinhood account that's already been settled, I can exchange it for USDC and withdraw it instantly.
That’s a great tip!

Do you happen to know if can do the same in UK because so far from all I've read what you say seems to be the most straight forward way. Ta

I m in USA, but I think you can do the same, I believe a lot of people in Europe the use kraken

i like to use binance as they have an apple pay option so its really comfortable and i can purchase something with crypto in literally a minute

I just had a bad experience with Kraken. As I've done in the past, I used my Kraken Pro account to buy USDC using PayPal, and planned to withdraw it to my wallet this morning and immediately pay my supplier. There's a 72 hour hold on Paypal-funded purchases before you can withdraw, so I'd arranged to make payment to my supplier using that timeline.

Well yesterday, over 48 hours after my deposit, I got a message from Kraken saying they had a technical issue on their end with my Paypal deposit and it didn't go through, despite the USDC I'd purchased showing up in my Kraken account. I asked them if I re-deposited the funds if they would waive the 72 hour hold so I could get my funds on the promised timeline, and they refused. So, because of a mistake on their end, I was not able to make my purchase. If they can't manage to handle a simple deposit, how can I trust them with my funds at all?

I originally went with Karaken Pro because the fees are really low, but I guess you get what you pay for. I'm probably switching to Robinhood.

This rings to me as a problem with PayPal not Kraken. I've been using Kraken for years and never had a single issue, but I just used my checking/debit card.

Kraken is objectively one of the best crypto exchanges in the US. They publish reports on how many info requests they get from governments and apparently only give data of 57% of those requests.

They have been known to be stubborn about unlawful or unfounded data requests, and they've only been hacked once, which sounds bad until you compare them to Coinbase or Binance.

Kraken is also the only major exchange to keep Monero listed despite massive pressure against it.

I'm using both Exodus and Tangem. Exodus is where my initial transactions happen. Once I hit a certain amount of crypto, I send it to Tangem to be kept in a cold wallet.
