made a couple of orders this last week and both which have shipped have been returned to sender . 1 via dhl and 1 via fedex from differnent vendors? dhl says failed customs inspections in china and fedex not sure yet. anyone know whats going on? is there a clamp down?

This is what I saw. I think there might be a couple other threads about this.

Is this a China customs problem or a US customs problem? And where does Europe stand right now?

I recall seeing someone saying US Customs was cracking down, but I don't have any proof or info.

both these orders were stopped before leaving china, not sure if its customs or couriers returning because of the war

I've had several orders get stopped by China customs. The vendor has always resent the order via another route without any issues. Never had any issues with US customs.

Someone I think back in December said that fed ex was refusing packages with white powder out of Hong Kong, not mainland China though.

I put an order in a couple of days ago and got an email saying my shipment was returned due to "the war" and they will have to resend. Does not make a huge amount of sense that a shipment from China to Australia should be going anywhere near the middle east.

I have a sneaky suspicion of whats happening. Fedex and dhl have all said theyre putting surcharges on their shipments because of the war. I think packages are being returned to shipping agents as the shipping agents need to re quote and resend. Could be totally wrong

Could also be that most if these distributors are using 1 freight forwarder and that forwarder has been marked by the shipping companies for some reason

All conjecture

I know that just about all the vendors ship to Australia in bulk to a reshipping company that reposts them locally, presumably to make it harder for customs? No idea if this applies in the US, but the tracking is usually pretty weird sitting somewhere very local, where such reshipping companies are located for one to two weeks before actually moving.

I’ve never had that before from my usual vendor 🤯
However I did make two orders from one of the suppliers off here over CNY period and when I tracked the shipping I could only see it moving from within my state. Usually with my OG person I follow it from china. That makes so much sense now
