Who Did You Tell About Your GLP-1?

The media had been talking about Ozempic for a while, and Novo Nordisk became Europe’s largest market capitalisation for several years. It was hard to miss. Then there was talk of Mounjaro, and a few months ago, of Retatrutide.

I did a little research on Reta and came across the subreddits, Pep-pedia, and finally this forum.

I was prescribed Victoza and then Mounjaro. Officially, I'm taking Mounjaro. Since it isn't covered in my case (I have diabetes but my BMI is below the threshold), there's no record of my purchases.

As for the powder vials, no one can see them easily. But I have a ready-made white lie.
I've reconnected with some old contacts in the pharmaceutical industry, and I buy directly from the subcontractor's factory.
That's entirely plausible because about 25 years ago I ran a biotechnology company, and we had oligonucleotides (PCR primers) manufactured in China.
I'd say it's GL in Shanghái, which is the world's largest peptide manufacturer.
There's a good chance that many of the vials come from there. It's no big deal to get a 50kg bucket out of a monthly production run of one to two metric tons.

I've only told people that I know to also struggle with their weight. Anyone who just notices the weight loss and gives me a compliment just gets, "Thank you! Yes I feel great! Cleaned up my diet and mostly quit drinking beer." This is quite literally the truth, it's just that tirzepatide helped me do it. A lot, lol. I will never ever tell anyone about the other peps. They are just a collection of "vitamins and supplements" to help me look and feel great. Anyone else can find the same information I have found online. I just don't want to call any attention to myself, and definitely not to the fact that I am freaking obsessed with the grey market and have a little collection of ALL the GLPs because that way, you know, I have it. Just in case. Lol.

I told my 2 doctors (Primary/work physical Dr, and Cardiologist) I did the weight loss thru Intermittent Fasting. Which is partly true. No food from 6pm till noon the next day. They were both thrilled with that answer (and the results), and didn't press.

I told some casual friends I got a book on self-hypnosis; I can't keep a straight face so I'm not sure they believed me.

Wife, sons, and a few close friends know the whole truth. One was already doing it. A few joined me.

Only one person. A friend of my wife and I who I knew was doing Tirzepatide. It's because I was so sick the first few days I just wanted to ask her about the side effects, if she had them and if they go away.

So she says 'Oh good, that's how you know it's working!'. And I'm thinking, is that sarcasm? I'm extremely sensitive to the stuff. I'm on 1.5mg at 8 weeks now and the GI sides have left except for the constipation and I can't hardly eat anything. I almost quit again Sunday (injection day), but decided against it because it lowers my BP a lot and I still need to lose 30 lbs, mostly visceral fat. It also lowered my glucose from 106 to 83 and my A1C is near perfect now. So I don't want to lose that, just would like to be able to enjoy food again one day.

Of course my wife knows, both of us are on GLP-1s and get them from the same source. That being said, I don't see any need to tell anyone unless it is someone else on GLP-1s who wants to share their experience. That's why I'm here.
