Why not use a fake name and/or ship to an office or alternate address for customs reasons?

Also don't get something like that shipped to your office. Now you're risking your job as well.
Putting a fake name on the package voids your reship policy from the vendor as well.

There is no perfect solution for everyone. know the risks and make your choice.
This! My ex husband had a big bag of maltodextrine shipped to my office at the time (they only shipped bulk volume to business addresses) and it was opened by my boss by accident… big bag of white powder. She had some questions for me… 😂

I wonder if this has the possibility of affecting one's s3cur1ty_)c1earanc3 as well. Thanks OP for putting this information out there.

Out of curiosity, what was the maltodextrine bulk buy for?

I asked this same question on another forum and did not get many responses. I am going to try an alternate name the next time I order to see if the package arrives as expected. Probably won't be ordering for a while though. I don't want to lose my GE and it would be even worse if it impacted my wife's GE.
then you run the risk of getting Id fraud on mail charges which is unlikely but never a 100 safe bet.
using a PO box with a business name does help buffer you a bit because a biz can have several people on a LLC etc.
but you are right the likely part is they will take it record it and move on but that info is still in a data bank

Been hearing more about the main risk of customs seizure for US citizens is getting global entry/nexus revoked and never being able to get it back. It's not the biggest deal to me now but it could be in the future, never know.

Just wondering if you just put a fake name on the shipment, even if it goes to your mailing address, certainly customs couldn't know exactly who the package was intended for and probably wouldn't do much investigation to find out, would that save you from getting blacklisted? Would they blacklist your entire household?

And for people who work in an office, why not have your package sent to your office under a fake name, and tell the office staff you're waiting on a package for that person. I work at home but there's a co-working space I use sometimes where I can have packages shipped. Or maybe you could send it to your granny's house under your fake name because granny ain't ever need global entry anyway...

Are any of you doing any of these things or something else to avoid getting a CBP blacklist?
So since many people have been asking about this question I'm going to dive in this a little bit further Most people that are worried about Global Entry or Custom Seizing a package should only be concerned if you have high security clearance you work for a government entity or you're in some s position where you need to travel a lot And to countries that are not traveled to as much IE China stuff like that. For customs to actually do a controlled delivery for a crime they suspect you of committing you would need to have either a ton of illegal substances or they suspect you of doing some other crime like financial crimes that involve you importing peptides or something like that. Beating the US government is never an easy feat I'm a little hesitant about talking About it on the Internet but I feel like more and more people are running into this problem so let's just get into it. The big thing with Gray is that it is not illegal completely at the moment but things have changed over the years with laws happening overnight. One day we were ordering research chemicals from China in Europe and then they issued an emergency ban on all RC chemicals and any package that came through was now illegal. This is something that can happen to anyone and I just suggest that if it is something that happens and you find out about it to refuse any packages that get hand delivered to your door meaning someone is trying to get you to sign for the package. Remember a warrant for a package can only be executed once you take the package inside your residency or business. Is called an anticipatory search warrant and it can only be executed after you have taken possession of the package. When we would have a hot package come in we would let it sit for about 5 to 7 days before even trying to investigate and go and pick it up due to the fact that most controlled deliveries want to be executed that day or the warrant is good for that day only.
Now for PO boxes if you have A if you have APO box you need two forms of identification. And yes these ID's are recorded in a system. The best way around this is to use a drop ship address say a friend that doesn't care about their status or at one point we were using houses that were on the market for sale and shipping to those houses and justice grabbing the packages when they come to the house. Delivering to abandoned houses are risky but never foolproof either. Having multiple drop ship houses is the best way to go if you are doing this routinely.
Throwing a buddy a $20 bill or a pack of beer is a great way of getting your package without having to worry about getting on a list. Also ordering from companies that don't deal with illegal substances like Steroids or other types of controlled substances is probably the best and safest bet to go as if they are investigating that company in the return address from the shipping company Your likelihood of them just passing it through is pretty high.
Now for what customs is doing or going to do with your package information customs will do one of probably three things they will Pass your package through and record that you were a subject of interest. They will open the package and see further contents and then put a red seal over the package saying that they have opened the package and investigated but it cleared and the information will be recorded. Or do a controlled delivery.

Now for tracking purposes if you have the tracking number and your package says it has gone through Flushing New York or San Francisco or Chicago and there are no updates Before cleared through customs That is also a red flag be careful of tracking that has not updated right after it has gone through one of the major ports. That means that US Customs probably has the package and they are going to hand deliver it to you and try to arrest you. Now USPS is infamous for not having updated tracking but use your discretion on what you are ordering and how much you are ordering if your package may have that effect. Remember US customs when trying to build a case against someone importing an illegal substance is going to be to try to flag the return address first and grab all the other packages coming in after that.

Interesting, figure that would largely apply to DEA controlled substances though--not the majority of what the grey market offers. That said, I've always made the leap that Dermorphin, which shows up on all those price lists, is an opioid, and therefore opening up major unneeded risk if you are purchasing that.....
