WSJ, Lilly’s First Pill for Diabetes, Weight Loss Shows Positive Study Results: The drug helped lower blood sugar and cut an average of 16 pounds

I can see how this would be helpful for maintenance but they just seem to be a lot less effective than the injectables. 7.9% weight loss at 40 weeks (highest dose) is kind of a tough sell given the results with the others. Although this is associated with no plateaus. Wonder what this will look like at 68-72 weeks.

I wouldn't switch to orforglipron, however many folks likely avoid GLP-1 drugs due to a desire to avoid injecting themselves. Perhaps this drug will be more affordable than the good weight loss drugs now out there.

I wouldn't switch, because *for me* a once a week shot is easier than a daily pill. But for a lot of people this is a great alternative.
