Hey over 50 ladies! Get in here, Let's talk

Sitting here tonight I thought about something else I wanted to ask. Anybody else have absolutely freezing feet? The rest of me is fine but my feet are so cold. Been sleeping with a heating pad for my frozen toes.
Yes. I put my feet into the sleeves of a down jacket in bed, whilst I'm under a down comforter! Much of my fat is gone and my metabolism is somewhat lower with these GLP effects. I'm keping my circulation up with 90 minutes/day of road bicycle, but my finger/toe extremities are usually cold. Drinking hot water helps even just to hold the cup.

I’m almost 63. Semaglutide didn’t work for me, switched to Tirz, lost 80 lbs; still 40 lbs from goal but I swear my body is changing shape despite not losing right now. I’m on Reta and Tirz (4 mg of each), glutathione, NAD+, GH, KLOW and Melanotan. In menopause. My feet get cold easily so I sleep in knitted slipper socks. I’ve had an itching issue that was recently attributed to menopause.. I’ve not been a normal weight since age 3. I use a vibration plate and walk a lot. Had a duodenal switch w/biliopancreatic diversion in 2001; lost 120 lbs from that, then could not lose unless I was under extreme stress and those losses came back. Nothing worked until Tirz. I’ve lost more slowly, but it’s coming off so I’m happy.

I've gotta say I'm thrilled to see there are so many of us here! 😀😍

I don't always identify with the things the younger ladies are doing as far as lifestyle and diet. I'm aware that it's important for me to get nutrition! I can't starve myself and not have cramps and bathroom problems. It may be a slower path but it's what I have to do so I can lose and still be healthy. I'm a cancer survivor and I think the chemo did a number on some of my bodily functions as far as needing the vitamins and minerals in food. No more starving diets to lose 20lbs quick. I would be hurting for sure.

The other thing is exercise. I'm a self identified fat old lady with a bunch of ortho problems. My joints hurt and I can pull a muscle without even trying. I'm gonna just ease into the working out. I see some people saying it's not super important at first when you're still very over weight but who knows. This is a new frontier of weight loss and there are probably things we don't know yet.
Consider going to a swim pool and maybe just walking back and forth starting in the shallow end. Just swinging your arms in the water is a good no-impact exercise. You go girl...

My to do list now includes Tirz and maybe Tirz + Low Reta? Not sure yet. And other peps: Klow, Semax, Selank, MotsC and SS-31. They are ordered and on their way. And exercise...I know I should be lifting weights but after work I just collapse and into a puddle. (high stress job + cozy couch and family). So am hoping for some help wit the SS31 + MotsC.
Read up on this (mitochondria protocol) since you've already ordered 2 of the 3 peptides involved. Many of us have already done it and I just started mine. The dosing schedule is on the first 2 pages and all the science that developed the protocol is included in the next 15 pages. I will fully admit that I didn't read all of if but I read enough to convince me that trying it has a good chance of helping me. Its a longish read so here is a Video of dude discussing the mitochondria protocol.

Another peptide suggestion for my fellow crones to research .. epitalon. I bought some of this and intend to take a round of it after I finish the mitochondria protocol.

I wish I could find a place that didn't cost a fortune! In middle TN any place with a pool requires a membership that is out of my price range. Once it warms up I'll do that in my own pool tho.

Hello!!! I turned 53 in October. I have always worked out and was in pretty good shape. Lifting, spin classes, practicing and teaching yoga for years. Even with all that I was steadily gaining weight every year. When Covid hit it derailed my group fitness. I bought a spin bike and taught online yoga classes but the isolation got to me. I didn’t realize at the time I was in full menopause. Dark thoughts and all that fun.

In 2021 I ended up in the ER with high BP and began taking Lisinopril and a statin. In 2023 I had a semi breakdown one morning. Couldn’t remember my yoga pw at the studio that I had used for a decade. Was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and began levothyroxine. Had to quit teaching yoga at that time.

So really fun times. A guy who worked with my husband lost a lot of weight and told him about taking tirzepatide. I read everything I could and joined all the forums/reddits. We started in July 2024. I’ve lost over 90lbs which it seems crazy I had that much to lose tbh.

Been fully post menopausal since 2023. We just got our GHK-cu, Epithalon, and KPV today. I currently take 3.5mg tirz and just upped my Reta to 6mg. I could be at maintenance but kinda want to lose about 5 more lbs.

I am so thankful for these glps. My husband and I agree they saved our lives. I no longer take the lisinopril or the statin. My BP is great. I will probably have to be on my thyroid meds for life but I am ok with that. Taking HRT now and will never quit my glps.

Me never bin to TN. On West coast most all high schools have pools that are open for public swims. Just thinkin out loud...

Extends telemeres! Sweet! There it is folks, anti-aging it a bottle.

Weight loss in a pill, anti-aging in a bottle... the future's here. 😎 I'm okay not having flying cars.

My selank and semax arrive today! I am prepped with everything to make nasal sprays as soon as it arrives!
WhooHoo! I haven’t got the nasal sprayer yet. Stalking Amazon delivery times. Can’t wait!

Finally got a mini fridge for my bathroom. It’s too damn cute. Makes the daily weekly pins so much easier.

Yay! My nasal sprayer should be coming on Thurs along with the saline ampules. I very much want to spend the weekend going over my Semax notes one more time to be sure I get everything lined up but really hoping the chat is true and it does give a little boost to clarity and focus. I have not met a woman over 50 who didn't suffer from brain fog at least a little, myself included.

Hey! 59. Hyst at 36. The short form of my situ is here. <-- Should be clickable.

If Sema is working for you let it work for you. Just because there's something newer doesn't mean we have to jump on it. Sema has the highest appetite suppression score. If I could still test it, I would. I moved to Tirz earlier this month. 2nd time around testing Sema it was ineffective. Stacked it with Cagri and got a little result but not much.

2.4mg is the highest Sema dose. I have read others are testing it at higher dosages but I didn't go that route. It's currently unproven, I believe. BP is studying it now.

Good luck! Great to have you.

Did you see improvement after starting your protocol?

Yes. I put my feet into the sleeves of a down jacket in bed, whilst I'm under a down comforter! Much of my fat is gone and my metabolism is somewhat lower with these GLP effects. I also have frozen toes. Have you ladies tried an electric foot heater. It is just an electric blanket sack but I just got one and LOVE it. My kids fight me for it.

Oh thank you MsGizmo for the link !! I downloaded and read through half of it. This is amazing. I have been taking NAD+ as a supplement and NMN and NR for the past month or two. So this protocol I’m super ready for. My SS and M comes tomorrow. Weeeeeee !!!

My first real stack!

Hows your session going with it?

Just on week one. So only 2 shots of NAD+ I haven't noticed anything and haven't really expected anything.

I'll be 50 by the end of the year can I come in? 🌻🌼💐

Dang, you nailed it. If I could talk to 38-year-old me that was having symptoms! I think in the past couple of years I just hit a point where my heart finally came around. I've made some great improvements on the stuff I've made it through... yeah life is okay, even good sometimes. I'm clearer on what I value and what I want. And what I love in life. Some self-acceptance too.

~~*~~

At the moment I am feeling... good. Which is weird. My thyroid is in a good place, surgery in August so now meds are settled in. I've been on HRT for ...coming up on 4 years, last 3 including testosterone. It's helped immensely.

~~*~~

On to weight loss ~ I'm the "fat aunt" on my husband's side (they are too kind to call me that) and the "skinny" aunt on my own side. I've had a few "whoa!" seeing that heavy person in the mirror. I've lost height to 5'7" / 170 and lately 196 lb / 89kg. I have high blood pressure which is treated.

@MsGizmo and @miss-sanne have seen me wander in and out the past... 6ish months. I have tried several GLP-1s with mixed results with anhedonia. My (hopefully) final adjustment to thyroid meds and recent drop of snri has made me pause a few weeks, and I'm ready to get going again. : )

Along the way I tried NAD+. It did not negate the flat feelings but did give a nice energy boost.

Tirz seemed easist for me, I have a kit of 30. I am hoping it goes even better with other things in a better place. Will be easing into dosing.

I'm potentially interested in: semax, selank, dihexa.
I'm interested in Klow since I'm wanting to hit my 50th birthday looking and feeling fantastic. Someone called it facelift in a bottle I believe?

My new job has zero tolerance for legal problems so I keep my eyes open for non-crypto vendors. The risk in near-zero but want/need to expand beyond my previous vendor Nexa which is why I bring it up. (Hubby knows what I'm up to, maybe I can convince him to go shopping?)

Cheering you on! : )
Amino Lair is pretty good, and a bit cheaper than Nexaph. They take Venmo and Zelle, but suggest doing some stocking up, I think there are fewer and fewer places that will be accepting credit cards and bank payments in the future. The ones that do are going to have even crazier, higher prices than they already do. Best of luck!

I’m 53 and on the pilgrimage with you. HW 365, CW 288, GW 199. Had bariatric surgery in 1999 and eventually gained all the weight back due to poor diet, the pandemic, and then menopause 😩 Tried Sema for 2 mos through local weight loss doc in 2023 lost about 10 lbs and experienced nausea often. Switched to Triz through Telehealth In January of 2025 and lost nothing the first 3 months and about 10 lbs total during April and May. Found this website in April and researched for about 3 weeks then placed my first grey order. Officially switched to grey in June 2025 and the scale started moving. I did experience extreme fatigue with Triz so started microdosing and added NAD which I pin 3x weekly. The energy and metabolism boost is very clean for me and I haven’t stalled. I also cycle KLOW every other month, my skin is flawless, and all those aches and pains gone! I still have saggy boobs, belly, and thighs but hell I gave birth to multiples and now over 50 so I’m giving myself grace. Y’all I feel so much better but can do better with exercising and expanding my diet. Eating mostly chicken and rice with mixed vegetables everyday. Looking forward to learning and sharing with everyone 🥰

As the title says I’m looking for input for other ladies over 50 who are on this pilgrimage (not a journey to me, that sounds too easy). I’m 59 and have been overweight since I hit puberty. Total hysterectomy at 44. No major health problems.

GW 200ish

I started December 15th on sema. I’m making decent progress. I’m up to .5 on dose but thinking about switching to tirz. I ordered a 30mg kit a while back. Going back and forth on changing and maybe doing a small sema kicker on my 3rd or 4th day each week if I need it. I have been having more cravings on day 6 and 7 each week.

I’m having trouble getting motivated to exercise. This happens to me every winter. I know that’s what it is. If I get my butt up and go to the gym I always feel better but depression is a killer to motivation. I’m on this mission alone. Nobody around me with time is interested in going with me so I’m gonna have to find that motivation alone. I did get a recumbent bike and some free weights and I’m trying to do that every day.

I've got my nutrition under control I think. Trying to hit the protein goal everyday but sometimes I miss. Making sure to get fiber every day and so far that has kept me and the toliet in good standing. I try to drink enough everyday but some days I feel like I'm gonna float off. I'm not counting calories because all the fatty foods I usually love is kinda gross to me right now. Plus after doing the calculation to see how many calories I would need to eat to maintain my weight I know I'm probably at half that amount. If you haven't done that yet, look it up.

I’m worried about the sagging skin! I’ve had so many surgeries in the last decade (mostly ortho stuff - back, hands, arm). I just got out of debt from having my gallbladder out but I consider that win with the GLP-1s. I know I’m not going to be a young hottie but I hate the idea of having to tuck and compress loose skin for the rest of my life or get it cut off.

Just looking for feedback from other mature ladies. Suggestions? Experiences you’re having?
Thanks for posting! I’m right there with you. No one else other than in here knows my journey—yet. Started on Tirz slowly—microdosing up to 2.5mg (just about there) the last two months. I’ve lost 10 pounds. Would love the support of other ladies on this thread!
