GLP-1 Apprentice
Sitting here tonight I thought about something else I wanted to ask. Anybody else have absolutely freezing feet? The rest of me is fine but my feet are so cold. Been sleeping with a heating pad for my frozen toes.
Yes. I put my feet into the sleeves of a down jacket in bed, whilst I'm under a down comforter! Much of my fat is gone and my metabolism is somewhat lower with these GLP effects. I'm keping my circulation up with 90 minutes/day of road bicycle, but my finger/toe extremities are usually cold. Drinking hot water helps even just to hold the cup.Sitting here tonight I thought about something else I wanted to ask. Anybody else have absolutely freezing feet? Consider going to a swim pool and maybe just walking back and forth starting in the shallow end. Just swinging your arms in the water is a good no-impact exercise. You go girl...I've gotta say I'm thrilled to see there are so many of us here! 😀😍
I don't always identify with the things the younger ladies are doing as far as lifestyle and diet. I'm aware that it's important for me to get nutrition! I can't starve myself and not have cramps and bathroom problems. It may be a slower path but it's what I have to do so I can lose and still be healthy. I'm a cancer survivor and I think the chemo did a number on some of my bodily functions as far as needing the vitamins and minerals in food. No more starving diets to lose 20lbs quick. I would be hurting for sure.
The other thing is exercise. I'm a self identified fat old lady with a bunch of ortho problems. My joints hurt and I can pull a muscle without even trying. I'm gonna just ease into the working out. I see some people saying it's not super important at first when you're still very over weight but who knows. This is a new frontier of weight loss and there are probably things we don't know yet.
Read up on this (mitochondria protocol) since you've already ordered 2 of the 3 peptides involved. Many of us have already done it and I just started mine. The dosing schedule is on the first 2 pages and all the science that developed the protocol is included in the next 15 pages. I will fully admit that I didn't read all of if but I read enough to convince me that trying it has a good chance of helping me. Its a longish read so here is a Video of dude discussing the mitochondria protocol. My to do list now includes Tirz and maybe Tirz + Low Reta? Not sure yet. And other peps: Klow, Semax, Selank, MotsC and SS-31. They are ordered and on their way. And exercise...I know I should be lifting weights but after work I just collapse and into a puddle. (high stress job + cozy couch and family). So am hoping for some help wit the SS31 + MotsC.

My selank and semax arrive today! I am prepped with everything to make nasal sprays as soon as it arrives!Omg. Almost identical story. Esp second paragraph. Love walking in the woods. Selank and semax arrived tues.
Me never bin to TN. On West coast most all high schools have pools that are open for public swims. Just thinkin out loud...I wish I could find a place that didn't cost a fortune! In middle TN any place with a pool requires a membership that is out of my price range. Once it warms up I'll do that in my own pool tho.

Another peptide suggestion for my fellow crones to research .. epitalon. I bought some of this and intend to take a round of it after I finish the mitochondria protocol.

Finally got a mini fridge for my bathroom. It’s too damn cute. Makes the daily weekly pins so much easier.

Extends telemeres! Sweet! There it is folks, anti-aging it a bottle.
Weight loss in a pill, anti-aging in a bottle... the future's here. 😎 I'm okay not having flying cars.

Well, I have only had 1 dose of NAD+ so far and it starts out with a low dose that I need to titrate up. I'll post results when I see any.Did you see improvement after starting your protocol?
It is. You can do this! Give us an update on how your first week goes1/20/2025
First dose of reta.
Starting dose 2 mg.

I also have frozen toes. Have you ladies tried an electric foot heater. It is just an electric blanket sack but I just got one and LOVE it. My kids fight me for it.Yes. Just on week one. So only 2 shots of NAD+ I haven't noticed anything and haven't really expected anything.Oh thank you MsGizmo for the link !! I downloaded and read through half of it. This is amazing. I have been taking NAD+ as a supplement and NMN and NR for the past month or two. So this protocol I’m super ready for. My SS and M comes tomorrow. Weeeeeee !!!
My first real stack!
Hows your session going with it?
Amino Lair is pretty good, and a bit cheaper than Nexaph. They take Venmo and Zelle, but suggest doing some stocking up, I think there are fewer and fewer places that will be accepting credit cards and bank payments in the future. The ones that do are going to have even crazier, higher prices than they already do. Best of luck!I'll be 50 by the end of the year can I come in? 🌻🌼💐
Dang, you nailed it. If I could talk to 38-year-old me that was having symptoms! I think in the past couple of years I just hit a point where my heart finally came around. I've made some great improvements on the stuff I've made it through... yeah life is okay, even good sometimes. I'm clearer on what I value and what I want. And what I love in life. Some self-acceptance too.

At the moment I am feeling... good. Which is weird. My thyroid is in a good place, surgery in August so now meds are settled in. I've been on HRT for ...coming up on 4 years, last 3 including testosterone. It's helped immensely.

On to weight loss ~ I'm the "fat aunt" on my husband's side (they are too kind to call me that) and the "skinny" aunt on my own side. I've had a few "whoa!" seeing that heavy person in the mirror. I've lost height to 5'7" / 170 and lately 196 lb / 89kg. I have high blood pressure which is treated.
@MsGizmo and @miss-sanne have seen me wander in and out the past... 6ish months. I have tried several GLP-1s with mixed results with anhedonia. My (hopefully) final adjustment to thyroid meds and recent drop of snri has made me pause a few weeks, and I'm ready to get going again. : )
Along the way I tried NAD+. It did not negate the flat feelings but did give a nice energy boost.
Tirz seemed easist for me, I have a kit of 30. I am hoping it goes even better with other things in a better place. Will be easing into dosing.
I'm potentially interested in: semax, selank, dihexa.
I'm interested in Klow since I'm wanting to hit my 50th birthday looking and feeling fantastic. Someone called it facelift in a bottle I believe?
My new job has zero tolerance for legal problems so I keep my eyes open for non-crypto vendors. The risk in near-zero but want/need to expand beyond my previous vendor Nexa which is why I bring it up. (Hubby knows what I'm up to, maybe I can convince him to go shopping?)
Cheering you on! : )
I have anxiety/adhd. Both are known to help. Everyone has their own reasons. Definitely do a search.I've seen this mentioned but can you explain what you're using the nasal sprays for?
Thanks for posting! I’m right there with you. No one else other than in here knows my journey—yet. Started on Tirz slowly—microdosing up to 2.5mg (just about there) the last two months. I’ve lost 10 pounds. Would love the support of other ladies on this thread! As the title says I’m looking for input for other ladies over 50 who are on this pilgrimage (not a journey to me, that sounds too easy). I’m 59 and have been overweight since I hit puberty. Total hysterectomy at 44. No major health problems.

I started December 15th on sema. I’m making decent progress. I’m up to .5 on dose but thinking about switching to tirz. I ordered a 30mg kit a while back. Going back and forth on changing and maybe doing a small sema kicker on my 3rd or 4th day each week if I need it. I have been having more cravings on day 6 and 7 each week.
I’m having trouble getting motivated to exercise. This happens to me every winter. I know that’s what it is. If I get my butt up and go to the gym I always feel better but depression is a killer to motivation. I’m on this mission alone. Nobody around me with time is interested in going with me so I’m gonna have to find that motivation alone. I did get a recumbent bike and some free weights and I’m trying to do that every day.
I've got my nutrition under control I think. Trying to hit the protein goal everyday but sometimes I miss. Making sure to get fiber every day and so far that has kept me and the toliet in good standing. I try to drink enough everyday but some days I feel like I'm gonna float off. I'm not counting calories because all the fatty foods I usually love is kinda gross to me right now. Plus after doing the calculation to see how many calories I would need to eat to maintain my weight I know I'm probably at half that amount. If you haven't done that yet, look it up.
I’m worried about the sagging skin! I’ve had so many surgeries in the last decade (mostly ortho stuff - back, hands, arm). I just got out of debt from having my gallbladder out but I consider that win with the GLP-1s. I know I’m not going to be a young hottie but I hate the idea of having to tuck and compress loose skin for the rest of my life or get it cut off.
Just looking for feedback from other mature ladies. Suggestions? Experiences you’re having?
