If you're like me and you don't want your wallets to be linked to your funny purchases then I suggest that you use houdiniswap or muteswap. Even if you don't care about privacy it's still a very quick and reliable way to swap between chains or just clear a link between two wallets without having to log into your CEX.

Could you explain how you use that service?

What is Trc20 and Erc20? More importantly, how do get it? If I buy Ethereum will that cover it?

Q: What is Trc20 and Erc20?
A: erc20 and trc20 indicate that they are tokens on their respective blockchains. For example USDC on the ethereum blockchain is an erc20 token. On the tron network USDC and USDT will be a trc20 token.
Q: More importantly, how do get it?
A: The guide here was pretty good on how to obtain crypto, but if you cannot use solana to make payments and you absolutely need to use erc20/trc20 USDC or USDT then you could use houdiniswap (that I have mentioned above) to convert your solana to ethereum and buy the required amount of usdc. There are two more that I can vouch for: mute.swap and changenow.io. All three allow you to convert crypto from one blockchain to the other.
Q: If I buy Ethereum will that cover it?
A: If you have Ethereum in a wallet you can easily buy erc20 USDC or USDT.

It would be easier if you provided an example and I could explain to you what everything means and what you need to do.

I have seen the er one but it had usdc in front of it. I don't use tron so don't recall it. I just stick with usdc on sol. But have had to use usdc on erc20 once when vendor only had that option for payment.

That’s very helpful. Thank you. I have a vendor that says they accept USDT-Trc20 or ETH-Erc20. If I have funds from SOL and transfer to Ethereum, will I then be able to pay the ETH-Erc20?

ETH-erc20 is a weird thing to say (at least to me). Usually people say ETH (Ethereum Mainnet) to indicate that they want ETH. Ethereum itself is not a token, but they could mean that they accept ethereum itself and are saying eth-erc20 to indicate that. I would make sure with the seller that they accept the ethereum itself and not an erc20 token like usdc or usdt. If they do accept ETH coin itself then yeah you can just swap from solana to ethereum and send it straight away.

What are fees roughly to exchange tokens? If I bought $500 of USDT ETH and needed to convert it to USDT Tron what would it cost me?
