I’ve tried searching for info on this but having a hard time…. If ordering lyophilized tirz powder how do you store it before reconstituting and after? Is there a post on how to safely store your kits upon receiving? Just want to be sure I’m doing this as safe as possible. Is there a way you’re supposed to store for longer periods of time vs the vials you’re going to use sooner than later?

For Tirz and other GLP-1s:
There are certainly many threads on this and some conflicting opinions.
However, the consensus for most is that long term in the freezer and reconstituted in the refrigerator.

A few buy deep freezers and some even go for -40 or -80 lab freezers.

A standard freezer may have frost free which can impact the stability and cause minor degradation, this may be mitigated by having some form of insulated container to store in.

Jano (a popular Lab owner) is quoted as saying it will last a few years just in a garage only losing a few percentage points in potency.

The main thing is to avoid hot then cold then hot fluctuations.

I toss them in an insulated container and into my freezer.

Why do we need to put unconstituded in like a hydropeak before freezing? Won't the insulated case mean the vial will be less cold because it is in the insulated case?
Sorry new and trying to understand

It doesn't matter what the vial is in; as long as no heat source is connected, the temperature inside the container will be at least as cold as outside. However, if the outside temperature rises, the temperature inside the container will rise more slowly.

You don't need to. HydraPeak or Thermos is just a bonus to prevent temperature fluctuations from using most modern, frost-free freezers.
No, it won't be less cold. But if I was hoarding for many years to come, I would definitely be using something like HydraPeak.

Even at room temperature though, lyophilized is fine for over a year for most peptides we buy. One of the TG GB groups, PAE, did such degradation testing for some non-GLPs for 9+ months at room temp, and the results were within the margin of error. The same would be even more true for GLPs like tirz.

When I buy a kit, I throw it in the freezer or fridge. For some singles, I may even leave at room temperature, if reconning sooner than later. Like many, I don't really hoard anything except GLPs. For HGH, I leave in the fridge, instead of the freezer, since they can't agree on Meso.

Look up ‘peptok janoshik’ on YouTube. The guy peptok interviews people who run testing labs and it’s a great source of information. Apparently tirz kept in a standard freezer, not deep freezer, can probably be stored for decades. Years in the fridge. I keep mine in the freezer but have no intention of keeping it for decades

He posted some time ago he found a kit in his garage from 10 years prior he forgot he had and tested at 100% with no degradation. i forgot what the kit was but still a good indication on stability

It was an interview he did with Rory from PepTalk, almost an hour long; well worth the watch. It's on YouTube (I dunno if I can post the link here due to newb status?).

Defrost cycle on a deep freezer is no joke, either. I have a Govee wireless thermometer that shoots me a push notification whenever the temp goes above a set point. I get that push notification easily 2x a month, highest temp inside the freezer is sometimes in the 20-27ºF range, way warmer than I would have thought. I'm totally buying that Hydrapeak and inserts.
