Did anyone give up marijuana as a side effect?

I haven't been motivated to partake after a week on tirzepitide. Anyone else go through the same? It just kind of seems more troublesome than it's worth. It will keep me up, I will feel tired and less sharp tomorrow, etc. I wonder if it is the change in reward signaling that did it.

But I used gummies less
I don't mess with any of it, but I have a friend who takes one each night to sleep. Another of our friends brought him an article how it effects the the heart, and he has has heart issues.
Alcohol, weed, sugar, chocolate, porn, and I stopped chewing my nails. I can't decide whether to join the priesthood now, or after I reach my new target weight.

Interesting study! I shared it with some stoner friends.

Might be motivation enough to just say no from here on out. Also, I'm looking for a new job and I feel like a drug test might occur.
I never smoked weed. But I used gummies less, though I wasn't using them much before.

I stopped completely after I read a small study where ongoing gummy use hurt endothelial function, even more than smoking weed:

In my experience, semaglutide was really instrumental in helping reverse some of the toxic drinking tendencies I picked up living in Germany through the Covid era. Since starting Reta, I have continued enjoying marijuana and hash and, in particular, being able to smoke with no desire to snack whatsoever.

Yes, but that's not stopping me! 😀

What do you do for fun now? Hopefully enjoy being thin and attractive.
Peptides is my life now. 😇 I am enjoying being at a healthy weight, but these last 10 lbs are taking longer than my first 30.

But seriously, after a 20-day cycle of Epitalon and two of Semax, I'm actually enjoying my new found clarity. I guess I just don't want weed or alcohol to mess that up. After several years of residual COVID brain fog, effects from a TBI and just age, I feel clear and sharp again. And I like it, and Reta makes it easier to just say no.

I am trying to counteract medication weight gain and it is a relief for me as well. Glad you are feeling better!

I gave up on gummies and moved to concentrates for very occasional use. Gummies + slowed digestion = unpredictable effect duration. Sometimes no effect until hours later. Other times, effective but too long lasting (messes with my sleep quality).

Yes. I used to take a few hits one or twice a week to sleep. But ever since I did the epitalon cycle and a half, I sleep easily anyway, and the weed just tastes too gross and feels like a hassle. I stopped enjoying alcohol too. I do still smoke cigarettes and drink coffee, but my mom reported a huge dip in her own interest in cigarettes after starting tirzepatide.

No change for me. But in comparison to what I’ve seen online, I am a lightweight.

Yup! It made me really hungry and it just doesn’t hit the same. After 10 years smoking I’ve stopped. I take cbd edibles with small amounts of THC for my nausea but that’s it. 🙂

I think it depends what you use Weed for. People with ADHD can often turn to weed or even cocaine to correct their brain chemistry, but find that once they're properly medicated for ADHD they no longer need those drugs. If you're satisfying a need that weed used to satisfy, it makes sense you no longer have the same desire to do it, but if you really want to keep at it you can probably still enjoy it.

This is interesting... I have previously microdosed psilocybin and the munchies were a key reason I stopped, event though I had excellent outcomes otherwise. I just couldn't stop snacking, even on supposedly imperceptible doses. Maybe it's time for a new experiment!

Interesting. I hadn’t connected the dots before reading your post but it seems like more than a coincidence I went from smoking a little every night to maybe once a week.

The few times I did after starting tirz, I still got the munchies and ate a bunch of junk food. Not as much as i would have before the tirz, but still more than I should. I too have done an epitalon cycle and my sleep has been so much better and my general over all feeling has been so much better that I haven't had any THC products for a while now.

Things I could care less about now - sweets, fried foods, heavy carbs.
Things I care a little less about - alcohol (IPA's out, light lagers in, weed (microdose 1-2 times a week never ever heavy user sometimes went yrs without using. Only use for SUPER mild buzz)

I am also on a very low dose of reta. 1.5mg after 8 weeks started at .5mg.
