Is it just me, or does pinning somedays seem like a chore

It's monotonous. I feel like there are too many steps in the process. And there's a danger in monotony. You lose focus and next thing you know, you're injecting 50 units of peptide A and 10 units of peptide B when it was supposed to be the opposite.

I look forward to my robotic Injectomatic assistant.

Not just you. Funny enough I skipped my pins yesterday and did none kinda for that reason. By late afternoon I'd realized I hadn't done my GHK, KPV and TA1 for the day and then just went, eh, one day skipping might be a good breather.
I've bought 2 more pens as it for sure is easier and less time consuming to just swap out needles on a pen and use a cart than prepping syringes.

And today was a light day. BPC, TB, and TESA/IPA blend. I don't know how the peeps pinning 2-3x that daily along with a stack of supplements stay motivated to do it.
I don't mind the quick ones that much but have gone over to collecting more than one in a syringe where reasonable. Ipa/CJC seem predestined for that, but sometimes I just ad all in one to make it go faster....

Also: I I find it hard to have a good rotation for my Copper injection (KLOW) as my skin/fat stays tender for a couple of days at least...

I actually feel a little bored if it’s just a 1-pin day. But I also keep it to only 2-3/day normally and try to stay disciplined not to over-stack by running too many things at once. I also take breaks for a week or 2 at a time where I only do a once/week GLP. That seems to help any pin fatigue that creeps in.

A day that I can manage to remember my pins AND my supps/meds is a good day. More often than not it gets to late afternoon when I realize I haven't taken my oral am pills. The chore of pinning has also gotten to me so as someone that likes new shiny things I got some pens so it'll make it exciting again for a bit.

Oh man, I hear you, I'm so bored ! I'm soooo over reconstitution, filtering, injecting...
I'm constantly 1 day behind my schedule, because it's so incredibly boring.
I am at my almost goal weight, so that makes me less interested in pinning.
So 'glad' I have 7-8 years worth of peps. 🙂

I will mix a few peptides in 1 syringe, to reduce pins at the time of injection, other than GLP-1's. I mix some of my Syringes up ahead of time 2-4 weeks, that may have a couple different peps in them, as long as they play nice together. I know it's not popular on here, but I do telehealth a couple times a year with a Functional medicine Dr. He does this himself to reduce the # of injections and I get a couple things from him, I can't get Grey market.

It's risk tolerance on your part, but I do use this occasionally to double check mixing things together. https://thepeptidelist.com/interaction-checker

You are not alone. I take a lot of supplements morning and night but adding the needle phobia doesn't help make it easier, either. The results are great, so that's what keeps me going...

Honestly, I'd rather pin than swallow one more supplement or vitamin...ugh.

I had bariatric surgery back in 2021 (wish Tirz was on the menu back then) which was extreme and left me with a permanent malabsorption component, so daily vitamin and supplements are a must if I want to stay out of the hospital.

I couldn't agree anymore. I gave up on GHK after 2 months of pinning every morning 🙁

I guess I'll have to do without looking "Pretty" 🙂

RNY or DS? I had VSG 17 years ago.

Its why I actually made the move to pens. I was also hoping that I would respond poorly to GHK-Cu so that I could just say eff it.

Unfortunately I'm one of the extremely lucky ones, literally nothing, no burn, no lump, not even a tiny ISR.

But yeah the 3 daily pins are getting to be a pain. No pun intended.

Tthe worst part is the stuff that actually does heavy lifting (Reta) is down to only 1/6 days.

Today was one of them days. Somehow jabbed my finger with my syringe when I pulled it out of the vial. 🙄

Biliopancreatic Duodenal Swith/DS and it almost killed me when we found out regular multi vitamins and supplements weren't enough, I wasn't absorbing Thiamine, regardless of protein intake. Developed Wernicke's Encephalopathy and wound up in ICU for several days.
Thankfully, I was still coherent enough in the ER to whisper Duodenal Switch and I had a curious nurse, who ended up saving my life by getting me on a Thiamine push as they were treating me for a TIA.

Ow wow, sorry that happened to you. That nurse definitely earned her degree right there! I was curious when you said permanent malabsorption component, as that can happen with the DS. Nothing to the degree you went through, my mom had a DS and struggled with getting her Vitamins in. Had to get her to the Dr's office more a few times that 1st year, a lot of blood work and threatening to take her the ER, to get her on the mend and poppin vitamins all day. We talked about a revision several times, but it all worked out in the end. She's still down 175+lbs to this day and pretty functional.

Sorry to bring up bad memories, but I'm glad you shared that.

Don't worry...maybe someone with a DS will stumble across this post one day and keep this information in the back of their minds. I had thought I was doing all the right things, and typically it would have been enough, but as we all know, people vary. Glad your mom got sorted...it dropped me almost a hundred pounds and eventually Tirz got me the rest of the way...but yeah, a life long diligence is needed.
I often wonder with all these peptides coming out, if at some point, extreme bariatric surgeries will be looked back on in the future as quite barbaric.

Kinda like blood letting, seemed like a good idea at the time? I wouldn't doubt it, I know some Bariatric programs are down 30-40% in some areas of the country. I wouldn't be here, if not for the WLS and probably wouldn't have been able to keep my job without the Tirz/Reta.

This sounds far fetched, but I dropped 100lbs in 9 weeks, 200 at 6 months, 300 in under a year because of the surgery and became Anemic at about 6 months. Like you I did all the right things (so I thought) but I forgot to start a bariatric multivitamin, after 6 weeks. I had to take an iron supplement for over a year and it took 1.5 years to level out and feel good from losing over 300lbs in that time frame.

It may seem barbaric at some point in the future but I would do it again even though these meds were in the market at the time.

I ultimately have to agree. It worked and was needed at that time, despite some serious issues. If I hadn't done it, there is a good chance I wouldn't be here to even pontificate about the future!

It’s relative. I jab my glute with an inch and half 23 gauge twice a week. So little belly pricks - oh well.

Same. I only have 2 daily pins (3 peps) and a weekly, however I also have AM meds, PM meds, and…i think 8 vitamins/supplements in rotation. I’m more sick of pills than pins, but I’m kinda sick of pins too!
