And today was a light day. BPC, TB, and TESA/IPA blend. I don't know how the peeps pinning 2-3x that daily along with a stack of supplements stay motivated to do it.
I don't mind the quick ones that much but have gone over to collecting more than one in a syringe where reasonable. Ipa/CJC seem predestined for that, but sometimes I just ad all in one to make it go faster....And today was a light day. BPC, TB, and TESA/IPA blend. I couldn't agree anymore. I gave up on GHK after 2 months of pinning every morning 🙁Oh man, I hear you, I'm so bored ! I'm soooo over reconstitution, filtering, injecting...
I'm constantly 1 day behind my schedule, because it's so incredibly boring.
I am at my almost goal weight, so that makes me less interested in pinning.
So 'glad' I have 7-8 years worth of peps. 🙂
RNY or DS? I had VSG 17 years ago.Honestly, I'd rather pin than swallow one more supplement or vitamin...ugh.
I had bariatric surgery back in 2021 (wish Tirz was on the menu back then) which was extreme and left me with a permanent malabsorption component, so daily vitamin and supplements are a must if I want to stay out of the hospital.
And another vote here. Besides making it easy, it hurts less without the needle being blunted from the vial (I am a big baby).Another vote for injection pens.
Biliopancreatic Duodenal Swith/DS and it almost killed me when we found out regular multi vitamins and supplements weren't enough, I wasn't absorbing Thiamine, regardless of protein intake. Developed Wernicke's Encephalopathy and wound up in ICU for several days.RNY or DS? I had VSG 17 years ago.
Ow wow, sorry that happened to you. That nurse definitely earned her degree right there! I was curious when you said permanent malabsorption component, as that can happen with the DS. Nothing to the degree you went through, my mom had a DS and struggled with getting her Vitamins in. Had to get her to the Dr's office more a few times that 1st year, a lot of blood work and threatening to take her the ER, to get her on the mend and poppin vitamins all day. We talked about a revision several times, but it all worked out in the end. She's still down 175+lbs to this day and pretty functional.Biliopancreatic Duodenal Swith/DS and it almost killed me when we found out regular multi vitamins and supplements weren't enough, I wasn't absorbing Thiamine, regardless of protein intake. Thankfully, I was still coherent enough in the ER to whisper Duodenal Switch and I had a curious nurse, who ended up saving my life by getting me on a Thiamine push as they were treating me for a TIA.
Don't worry...maybe someone with a DS will stumble across this post one day and keep this information in the back of their minds. I had thought I was doing all the right things, and typically it would have been enough, but as we all know, people vary. Glad your mom got sorted...it dropped me almost a hundred pounds and eventually Tirz got me the rest of the way...but yeah, a life long diligence is needed.Ow wow, sorry that happened to you. Sorry to bring up bad memories, but I'm glad you shared that.
Kinda like blood letting, seemed like a good idea at the time? I wouldn't doubt it, I know some Bariatric programs are down 30-40% in some areas of the country. I wouldn't be here, if not for the WLS and probably wouldn't have been able to keep my job without the Tirz/Reta.Don't worry...maybe someone with a DS will stumble across this post one day and keep this information in the back of their minds. I often wonder with all these peptides coming out, if at some point, extreme bariatric surgeries will be looked back on in the future as quite barbaric.
It may seem barbaric at some point in the future but I would do it again even though these meds were in the market at the time.Don't worry...maybe someone with a DS will stumble across this post one day and keep this information in the back of their minds. I ultimately have to agree. It worked and was needed at that time, despite some serious issues. If I hadn't done it, there is a good chance I wouldn't be here to even pontificate about the future! It may seem barbaric at some point in the future but I would do it again even though these meds were in the market at the time.
It’s relative. I jab my glute with an inch and half 23 gauge twice a week. So little belly pricks - oh well. And today was a light day. BPC, TB, and TESA/IPA blend. I don't know how the peeps pinning 2-3x that daily along with a stack of supplements stay motivated to do it.
I'm awfully glad you had it done then! Thank goodness you were able to utter DS.I ultimately have to agree. It worked and was needed at that time, despite some serious issues. If I hadn't done it, there is a good chance I wouldn't be here to even pontificate about the future!
I agree. I feel like I'm neglecting some part of my health.I actually feel a little bored if it’s just a 1-pin day
