Hello. I finally got my Alipay account set up on the app.
Finally got my debit card linked, after having to call my bank and get them to unblock it. I am in the USA.
Trying to place an order with a CN supplier.
Went to send a test payment of 150 RMB. I’m pretty sure that equals $10.
Got a fraud alert on Ali pay.
An option to appeal popped up.
However, they are asking for a bunch of documentation such as the front and back of the debit card as well as photo ID and a passport, I believe.
I’m a Crypto dummy. Obviously, and an Allpay dummy too.
Any suggestions for me?

I've heard of people needing a passport for Alipay but I'm not sure about the rest.

Does anyone by chance know if the same documentation is required for setting up Exodus with MoonPay/BlockChain/XO? I’ve tried found that but it seems my debit card (or maybe Visa) will not allow me to link the card. It seems to start to go through then the message shows up that it was not accepted. But when I call my bank they tell me that there is no restriction on my card.

Starting to feel I might just have to stick with paying retail! 😂

Thank you all for your input.

Just download cashapp and buy Bitcoin from there. I don't remember if I had to show them my license, but I had to for coinbase, kraken and trust wallet.

Cashapp is by far the easiest and most convenient for those who live in the US.

Good to know. I'm thinking everyone should keep a backup these days.

Back then, foreign wholesalers took PayPal, Western Union and Alipay, but due to too many people doing charge backs, they do only crypto and sometimes alipay. A few bad apples ruined everything. 🤦

But once you get used to it, it's easy peasy from there! 🙂

The first crypto transfer I did It was probably the most nervous I have ever been and I've been in some shit in my life. I think the possibility of losing so many of my loved ones was overwhelming. I LOVE my Benjamins.

The feeling of uncertainty in regards to trusting the seller, knowing there is no refund, not knowing when you'll receive the product.

I think majority of us felt the same. 🤣

Thank you. Can you send the Bitcoin to the vendor directly from Cashapp or do you need to transfer to a wallet first then send to the vendor?
I understand that these security measures are needed for my protection. I just wish that I could grasp it easier. I’ll get there! 🙂

Update: I am not going to be able to do Alipay because my passport is expired.

Current plan:::

Signed up for Cash App. Scanned my Drivers License ID and Facial scan. They told me that it would take up to 10 days to get back to me for approval.

If approved, I’ll buy BTC and then transfer to either Exodus or Blue Wallet and pay the CN vendor.

Obviously, this could fall apart as well…

Hope this thread might help some other “old school” people like me who are trying to learn how to navigate this stuff.

That's a solid plan and one I have used a few times.

No need to transfer.

Just send the BTC from cashapp to the seller.

Sometimes due to "potential scams" (don't worry about that), it's gonna reject or deny the transaction. You can keep trying or you can transfer to coinbase/trust wallet/kraken then send it out. The issue I have with this is, you have to provide your front/back license ID and possibly something else and every time you give away personal info to another site, that's just further risk of ID fraud.

Cashapp only, if possible. Sometimes I buy from thepeplair.com or Gray axis because they take credit card and even though they are US resellers, they're on the cheaper side compared to the other 99% of the resellers out there.

One of my vendors still accepts Alipay...never had that issue you are describing, but I haven't ordered from her in about 6 weeks.

Crypto, once understood, is very easy to use, just a little daunting at first.

Yes, moon pay and blockchain require photos of id.

I had the same issue with Exodus. I have my own business and don't have any payment problems with Visa or Mastercard. Contacted Exodus support and they told me that it was blocked by Ramp Network. Advised mo to contact Ramp Network support or use an other third-party API provider to buy. It was too much trouble and unnecessary time lose to spend my money PLEASE?? I have installed BYBIT. Within 24 hours verification was completed and I could buy with creditcards, Paypal or banktransfer. No costs on Paypal. But the rest well. Only problem is, I can buy any coins I want. But can not use them to make payment during first 3 days. I don't know if it is the same with any other wallets or not? I said, by bye to Exodus! Deleted my account, back-up and all personal information. See you never again!

Thank you. This worked. I did have to transfer to an external wallet. I really appreciate it!
