Sounds like you’ve got a really grounded approach to this. You’re not chasing some random number on a chart, you’re paying attention to how you actually feel, perform, and live at a given weight, and that matters. A lot of bigger framed guys find the same thing where “ideal BMI” numbers just aren’t realistic or sustainable long term.SW (Jan 2026) 265.0

I'm a 6 ft, active male in early 40s. Have been through several cycles of weight loss and gain, but never tried any peps, drugs or even supplements really before this. The only other thing I take is 5mg creatine daily. I have also run a couple cycles of wolverine for injury recovery. I tried IPA/CJC once before I went on tirz, but my cycle was interrupted by injury, so I couldn't work out and didn't really get the most of it. All of this was via a local doc / compounding pharmacy, excited to be moving into direct purchasing and controlling my costs.
Would like to get to at least 220. I have previously been as low as 210 after a big cut but I found it hard to stay there. I'm sure traditional docs would say I should aim for 190-200, but I have a naturally big frame and don't think I want to live the way I would need to in order to get there 😂 ... but we will see how it feels when I get to 220, I may keep cutting or just try to focus on recomp / maintenance.
I am currently on 7.5 mg tirz and thinking of either adding 1mg reta and/or running another cycle of CJC/IPA.
Congrats to all on improving your health and approaching your goals. Happy to be on this journey with you.
Strong first week. Those first pounds lost always hit different…It’s the moment all the waiting, planning, and second guessing turns into real momentum. That first drop is memorable and impactful because it reminds you change is actually happening. Keep it going, Bucky! 💪Day 8 of Reta down 3.6 lbs.

Great progression. 33 lbs in 4 months on 3mg/week is really solid. Did you titrate up to 3mg or start there? What was your starting dose?4 months in:

Solid, Keep it up!👊Thank you so much for the response and i totally agree with your suggestions and should’ve provided some context to my post but your suggestions confirm I’m on the right track with it.
I was plateaued on Ozempic for 6 months with any weight loss and my blood sugars/A1C not improving to where I’d like as type 2 diabetic. My pcp wouldn’t entertain increasing dose or moving to Zepbound so i decided to do my own research.
Since starting Reta I eat 200g of protein, drink 1 1/2-2 gallons of water, 2 servings re-lyte electrolytes daily. I hit the gym 3-5x as well as get in 4-5 jiu jitsu classes a week so that has helped with quick shedding of weight.
Reading thru all the experiences and journeys on this forum has been such a motivation. Keep up the great work everyone!!!
25 lbs in 38 days is wild. Reta seems to be treating you really well. Bet you’re feeling a huge difference already compared to day one. Keep it rolling!minor update - reta only.

71 lbs down is no joke. That kind of change takes consistency, discipline, and sticking with it even on the weeks you probably didn’t feel like it. Don’t lose sight of how far you’ve already come. A lot of people want change; You’re actually doing it. Keep building on it one week at a time. 100 lbs down is absolutely within reach now. 💪240ibs -> 169ibs
down 71ibs all together. aiming for 100ibs. (doses etc in my signature)
BMI went from 41.2 to 29. still in overweight but hey ho
That’s an incredible run. From 242 to 157 is life-changing weight loss, and doing it with a slow titration probably saved you a lot of misery along the way. Sounds like you learned your body well instead of just racing the dose upward.SW: 242 - August 2025

I titrated up slowly and ended at three weeks of 15mg. The 15mg gave me the most side effects but it got me to my goal. I just moved back down to 12.5 last week and am going to start slowly moving down to find the balance of calories and GLP-1.
I have posted here before. Just hit 40 pounds today.50M 5'7"

That’s a seriously dialed-in two months. Dropping 17 lbs while holding muscle mass nearly steady and cutting body fat from 26.9% to 19.5% is excellent progress, especially at 50. The consistency is showing.50M 5'7"

A lot of that quick 4 lb drop is probably glycogen and water, not muscle. Every gram of stored glycogen holds water with it, so cutting carbs that hard can make the scale move fast in the first few days.So my PT wants to do a body recomp at maintenace diet (2500kcal) with high protein, low fat and high carb but I wanted to test how much I can drop my carbs without messing with my weight training performance.
I dropped from 300g carb to 120-130g and I immediately lost 4lbs in two days.
Hey SeaGypsy👋Whew, the success stories are awesome! Big congrats to all 🙌🏻
Myself, I have battled the bulge my whole life. 5'3 female, highest weight was 240. I've bounced between 240 and 150 for so many years.
Started Tirz journey in January of this year and my current weight is 123. My goal is 110. That would put me dead center of the healthy bmi range for my height.
Did you have any side effects with the Reta and can I ask how you titrated up?215, now 182. BMI and fat% are down too. 3.5 months. Current is shot #5 at 6mg Reta.
Can I ask how you are feeling cos started to do the same .. 2.5mg from 7 5mg, Tirz and 2mg RetaMale, 46, 5’11”

Currently at 8mg Reta and 5mg Tirz (three days apart).
Thank you for the kind words Danger 😊 I actually hit my first goal yesterday! I wanted to hit 120 before my nephews graduation which is today. Like so many others in here I fought for so many years because i had no shut off switch. GLP'S gave me one and it was off to the races. Seeing the people in here going thru the same battles and finally achieving their goals just his me right in the feels. I am so grateful for the folks on this forum. The inspiration, support, help.....it's just incredibleHey SeaGypsy👋
That’s an incredible turnaround. Going from 240 to 123 is more than weight loss; That’s years of fighting, restarting, and refusing to give up. Huge respect for sticking with it and getting yourself this far. 👊
And honestly, at 123 on a 5’3” frame, you’ve already made massive progress for your health and quality of life. The last stretch to goal is usually the slowest and most mentally challenging, but you’re clearly proving you can do hard things. Keep going, you’re right there!
Well, I think it was giving me too much food aversion and dizziness, being on both. So I stopped the Tirz and stayed on Reta 8mg weekly. So far, so good. Still losing about 0.5/1lb/week while also adding some lean muscle mass. I'm in the gym 4-5x/week. The only issue I have now is getting all the protein I need everyday lol.Can I ask how you are feeling cos started to do the same .. 2.5mg from 7 5mg, Tirz and 2mg Reta
That’s an incredible transformation; not just the scale, but rebuilding consistency with lifting and running at the same time. Going from 175 to 161 while staying active 6-7 days a week is huge. The best part is hearing you say it’s the healthiest weight you’ve been at since school… that feeling hits different after carrying it for years. 👊Start weight: 175
Current weight: 161
Timeframe: 12/28/2025 to now
Protocol: 3.5 MG of Tirz & 2.5 MG Reta - split so that I alternate every 3 days.
Love that I am at a healthy weight for the first time in forever (lowest weight since Middle or High School).
I also lift 3-4x a week and run 3x a week.
That’s an absolutely life-changing transformation. Going from 167 kg to 103 kg and dropping body fat from 45% to 16% is elite-level dedication. What stands out most is that you did it in phases; learned how to sustain it off peptides for 6 months, then used Reta strategically to finish the job instead of just endlessly escalating doses.Start weight: 167 kg
Current weight: 103 kg
Timeframe: Dec 27th, 2024 -> April 2026
Protocol: Mounjaro for 6 months (2.5 - 3.5 - 5 - 6 mg), then 6 months without peptides, then 3 months Reta (1 - 2 - 4 mg), now after reaching target weight: daily GHK-cu 2,5 mg and Ipa 2 x 0,25mg
Bodyfat: Dropped from 45% to 16%
