Dude...same...can't stand LOTR..3000 pages, 2000 of which is scene descriptions.my first proper novel as a kid was the hobbit, I loved it. I’m 33 now and still haven’t fought my way through LOTR.
See? Only non-meanies send cards.I send greeting cards and definitely don't think I am mean.
Oh God, please no...Please. Don't tempt me, Your Majesty. I surrender. No reverse Uno.I'm a calligrapher (and watercolor artist). I can teach you 🙂
I wound up "teaching" a watercolor "class" for my team at work a couple of years back. They wanted me to do a low-stakes, fun alcohol ink thing for our just-for-fun monthly event, and I said no can do, like three people are pregnant and the fumes are not a great idea. They were so sad, so I said look, we can do watercolors but fair warning, I don't actually know how to do watercolors. I can lead us through posca-pen dead trees on a watercolor wash background, but I in no way know what I'm doing.I'm a calligrapher (and watercolor artist). Awww!!❤️ That sounds like a real fun time! Sadly, I belong to a few societies were mostly everyone is uptight and a perfectionist (not to mention competitive!). This is a good reminder for me to not take things too seriously - I probably need some selank😂! I would love to see your work! Even though I mostly paint realistic still life, my love for abstract goes back to childhood and I still have a couple of those pieces I made way back when... Cheers to art!🍻🎨I wound up "teaching" a watercolor "class" for my team at work a couple of years back. They said yes and it wound up being terribly fun. We have perfectionists on our team and I'm firmly antiperfectionism, so my anxious coworker going "But what if I do it wrong?" "Then we take away your birthday and shame you forever, Kaitlyn, just paint the fucking page" became an in-joke way of saying "this isn't worth stressing over" and still makes me lol to remember.
I got SO into flowers and mostly stayed there. I'm kind of a one trick pony in that regard, but since I never actually try to get anyone to take me seriously, I don't care. 😀Awww!!❤️ That sounds like a real fun time! I have "It's not that serious" tattooed on the inside of my arm to remind of this sort of thing every day."this isn't worth stressing over"
Those are really cool!😍 You have a lot of control with alcohol inks! I have mostly seen work done with alcohol inks on yupo paper. Have you seen that? Very interesting results. My OCD-ish brain would struggle.I got SO into flowers and mostly stayed there. So she can Write AND Paint??? Muther....I know the just world hypothesis is a fallacy but this is ludicrous. What sort of Karma would allow such a thing? Now I just want to hang out with Random's cool-ass paternal grandpa and shoot shit about the unfairness of it all. Sadly, he's probably chillin' in another dimension.I got SO into flowers and mostly stayed there. Right? As a rule, I am anti-taxes to the core, but here one has to make an exception. That amount of talent needs to be taxed. Those are really cool!😍 You have a lot of control with alcohol inks!
Thank you! I'm about half and half on yupo vs photo paper back. It's honestly one technique that I did a thousand times until it was right; each petal is a drop of ink, 1-3 drops of everclear, and a hard puff with my breath to kind of "burst" out the petal. A lot of people do this type of flower with an airbrush, but I never had great results with that. Those are really cool!😍 You have a lot of control with alcohol inks! Or as in "A1" because who doesn't want some steak sauce with their crazy resource consumption? Is anyone else increasingly annoyed when you want to type "AI" as in "artificial intelligence" but it ends up looking like "Al" as in the shortened form of "Albert"? Bring back serifs!
I hope there aren't many of you around. You'd put us out of business.Which means if I get it in my head to learn to build all my own furniture or learn the steel tongue drum or buy a set of alcohol inks, I can.
Now how the heck did you make that sound epic AF??????because I have no children, no husband, my health is good, my mother has her shit fully together, and I don't attract friends with massive issues or feel any particular need to rescue people who do
Nineties? What, out of ten?So in terms of "percentage of life circumstances that are fully in my control," I've gotta be in the nineties
Great, so she's Kryptonian too? Most folks use brushes, Random: " holding my beer, so hands-free painting unlocked."and a hard puff with my breath to kind of "burst" out the petal

You have really mastered it! Like most things in art that seem easy, they usually take so many failed attempts to get them just right, even when they seem "whimsically freeflowing".Thank you! Thank you. Well, he does it too much.Having been in some "controversial" forums for the sake of 💩 posting, I always thought Smiter was half the time joshing around. Nothing serious
Zippity ain't no Doo Dah.One thing I've noticed (probably most have) is that even with 1100+ posts, The Smiter is still at apprentice level. The algorithm here is not joking when it says to level up you gotta pace yourself and earn it!
These are really beautiful.I got SO into flowers and mostly stayed there. I'm kind of a one trick pony in that regard, but since I never actually try to get anyone to take me seriously, I don't care. 😀
Got to admit, after getting done with work, kids shit, etc, I thought I got to read this AI-Smitter thread. And it was a good read. God speed all.I hope there aren't many of you around. You'd put us out of business.

Hey, it's not that. I love to fight. In fact, it's my most favorite thing in life. But, I also follow the rules here even when others don't. Besides, this forum is about learning and improving our lives. Also, I would find it extremely hard-pressed to combat the disabled. It's also against forum rules. That includes body-shaming, too. Where's the fun in plucking low-hanging fruit? Scarlet-throated, consanguinous folks are nearly extinct. It's poor form for me to contribute to Evolution's dictates. I love drama too, but sadly, a man has got to have standards.I never even pegged it for a drama read, because I knew there was no chance it'd turn into one. There is no universe in which @Smiter would receive a sudden, unprovoked outpouring of attention as anything but a "Hey buddy, Happy Tuesday!" present, and you can't make drama out of THAT.
I'm too old for that shit, so I just blocked him as soon as I encountered him. I use that button a lot.Having been in some "controversial" forums for the sake of 💩 posting, I always thought Smiter was half the time joshing around. Nothing serious
No real person would put their location as Virginia because no one lives there willinglyHear me out. I think @Smiter is actually a malfunctioning Gen 1 AI that escaped its cage. Look at the evidence. First of all, no one could have as much free time to post as much as he has in such a short time. Secondly, his posts all look like early AI. Some of them make sense, some don't, some are just long rambling series of words like this:
I think he is using this board as a way to learn and grow stronger. There is likely a plan for world domination, but I haven't figured that part out yet. What do y'all think? Have I nailed it? Should I be unplugging all my electronics so he can't take them over to silence me Maximum Overdrive style?
This seems truer by the day.No real person would put their location as Virginia because no one lives there willingly
Mr. Anderson, saying something twice does not make the blue pill twice as strong. It will not work.On the other hand, I heard Virginia is the largest data centre market. I'm on to you, Smiter. Or should I say, Agent Smith
hey, I'm human. I make mistakes ;PThis seems truer by the day.

Me tooJust here to see if Smiter responds…….
Your loss.I feel a bit left out of all the entertainment since I put him on ignore about 2 days after he joined. 😳
If you say soYour loss.
