Please help me get over my pen stress

I have seen so many people who really like injection pens. The whole thing seems so complicated to me but I suppose I can learn. Are there real advantages?

Mostly boils down to a bit of convenience.

1. You don't have to draw every time. Instead, you attach a needle, dial the units and inject.
2. You do have to fill up the cartridge once per vial. But if you are filtering, you are doing this anyways. You just dispense into the cartridge instead of a sterile vial.
3. You can argue that it is easier to travel with a pen. Just fewer things to carry.

But if injecting from a vial is second nature to you, it may not be that much of a win. For me personally, I like it. So, far.

I thought pens were dumb til I tried one. The three things I like most about them are that it's one object rather than two to fiddle with, there is no air in it on day one or week six, and it doesn't get progressively more difficult to draw my dose at the end (as opposed to a vial, where you have to get the needle shallower and shallower from the stopper to get liquid instead of air.)

I don't mind the 'normal' way but for me it's the convenience to bring a pen when I travel to my cottage and not have to bring the whole pharmacy with me. As well as I'm a huge nerd and love all the accessories and gadgets 😂 I also have a friend that takes a whole bunch of different peps and he says he likes just having a different pen for each.

I too decided at first to skip them because I felt it was too complicated so I understand how you're feeling about them. My suggestion is just look at some YouTube clips and you'll see it's really quite simple. That's what I did and after a few videos I ordered a while bunch of different pens after asking some friends about tips on which to buy. I can't send links here unfortunately because I'm a noob.

I was originally a staunch auto-pen proponent, but I've found that they are slow with a fine needle, and need a bit of manual help.
I've gone back to manual pens, where I supply the 'push'.

The defining pen difference for me was the fresh needle every time, never even been forced through a rubber stopper once.
