I’m curious who you’ve told that you’re using GLP-1s.

Friends? Family? Partner? Children? Coworkers? Your doctor? Or are you keeping it mostly private?

Personally, I’ve only told 3 of my closest friends. Before starting GLP-1/Reta, I had already lost around 20 kg/44 lbs naturally.
After starting Reta 2 weeks ago, I’ve lost another 2.5 kg/5.5 lbs (after being stuck for 6 months naturally).

That’s part of why I’m careful about telling people. I don’t want them to hear “GLP-1” and immediately attribute all my progress to it, as if the work I already put in didn’t count.

Who knows in your life, and how did they react?

Yeah me too. People Judge. They also talk.

I'm telling no one lol only my immediate family knows and that's bc I have to tell them to get their hands off my peps 😂 I'm on Reta since last Dec along w/other peps, but I'm taking a break right now bc of upcoming procedure and traveling out of the country.

Many of my friends and family have asked about my weight loss journey, so I tell them I'm doing keto and IF, which is what I do for the past 7+ yrs on top of the peps.

At first I kept pretty quiet, but now am pretty open with anyone that comments on my transformation. The health benefits are so profound (even when I was just on tirzepatide) that I feel like people need to know this is amazing medication. I have only told a select few though about other peps and reta...

I'm pretty open about it. A large amount of people I know are already on GLP's through their doctor over the last few years so it's not really that taboo of a thing.

I have a very good friend of 20yrs who struggles with weight, and who I knew was on sema maybe five years ago? Something oral like 15 years ago, and it really impacts her self image. She had to stop sema as her insurance stopped covering after like two months. We are very close, she lived with me the two years before taking a job in another state in January.

While she was living with me, I put on like 50lbs. And when she moved, I started a glp and have lost 50lbs. She came to visit last week, mentioned having gained more weight, and I absolutely told her what I was doing, and offered to send her home with three months of tirz and needles and everything. She told me she would think about it, but left without mentioning again, and I didn't try to force it on her, even though she also suffers from back pain, etc, that I know would benefit from the anti-inflammatory powers of tirz.

I tried 🤷

...it might just be how I couch things as injecting grey market Chinese chemicals I reconstitute in my kitchen 😂😂😂 but I also told her about telehealth options and pricing so she can explore, since it's well within her budget

I’ve told my spouse and my best friend of 20 years. Spouse because while I was on compounded, it was coming from our joint account, and best friend because she leads a shamanistic retreat I was planning on attending and all medications had to be disclosed before taking their medicine. Both have been super supportive.

I’ve also told my spouse about planning to get on other peptides and showed pics of NAD+ from a Google search, but haven’t yet breached the gray convo. I have much more of the adventure/risk tolerance gene!

I'm not hiding out but I'm also not shouting it from the rooftops. Told my doctor, my partner, and random Internet strangers. If people ask me how I am losing weight it's from eating better, working out more, with GLP1 supplementing. If they have follow up questions I don't mind answering.

I personally could not care less if people judge me. I’m very open about it.

The same people that judge you for taking glp1s are the same ones who would say “if only they could have lost some weight” if you died from a heart attack.

If they really care about you they’ll just be happy you’re losing weight and getting healthier.

I don't make a big secret out of it. When people ask about how I manage my weight loss it depends on the person asking what version of the truth they get.
It's either "I eat clean and move a lot more" or "OMG these Chinese magic powders are the best thing in the world". Both are true in my own little world.

I told you guys, that's it. No one else needs to know, they wouldn't have an informed opinion anyway.
At first only my wife, but now, who cares some of them even buy from me so it covers my cost but im not ripping them off like resellers.

Also its fun to see people you know also improve their lives. We compare labs etc, its fun.

At first I only told my husband, my daughters and my daughters' husbands. But now I don't keep it hidden. I don't go around telling everyone, but when they comment on my weight loss and ask how I lost the weight I let them know about the GLPs. IF they ask, and 97% of the time they do, how much it costs me, I only let certain people that I trust know about the magical powder from China. Everyone else I just tell them I get it from telehealth.

People ask about my weight loss, my reply is "Diet and supplements". No one has ever asked about what kind of Chinese supplements I inject though. I'm not an authority nor evangelist and I don't want to mentor people I know have difficulty following programs accurately. I really can't image having a conversation about mixing up powder from China and blasting it into my love handles. Because that's exactly how it would come across to the people I know.

I recently attended a gathering of my cousins and everyone commented about my weight loss (115lbs over past year). I told them diet, exercise and drugs. Told them about my reta experience. One cousin said "aren't you embarressed admitting to using a GLP-1". I asked why when 30% of the US is on them. At that point 4 of the other cousins came forth and said that they were also on them (not previously admitting it). One of the women said she felt like a failure after diet and exercise for a year and had only lost 4 lbs when her PCP told her it was time to start the medicine.

Random people at the airport bar, at the bowling alley, a wedding, and really anywhere.

Usually how it goes is that I mention I’ve lost weight recently, they ask if it’s glps, I say yeah, and they reply that they’ve also used them… and some have even directly stated they use reta.

But not a single one knew about the CN grey market… and every single one has been excited to learn from me.

And this was all within the last couple weeks.

Maybe I’m lucky, maybe it’s my personality, but not a single person has been judgmental, and they ALL are pumped to hear there are alternatives. I make sure they know that they need to do their own research, and all have been fine with that. Some may well be reading this thread right now for all I know!

I haven't told a single soul and never will... unless they share first, maybe. I've discussed the topic of peptides plenty and it's surprising how honest opinions get when they don't know you partake. No one in my circle would understand and I'm an open book about everything else, so this is just my little secret.

The progression. Tell your friends. Some are bitcoin illiterate, then give them some. Then, damn, this is denting into my stockpile. Then, trying to teach bitcoin, then hearing, what’s this, what’s that. But the trade off, hearing your friends’ stories of taking an extra big shot before vacation and not being able to take a shit for 3 days, talking amazement about a session and somehow arm feeling great in 2 days, etc. Pick your path.

My close family and my man know…and a coworker or two. I’m open about it tho, I’m just not volunteering info.

I just don’t have the energy to give a f**k. Besides that, the opinion of people I would be interested in listening to would not be punching down. People who punch down don’t have ANYTHING I want.

Haters gonna hate, themselves first, then others.

I’m the last person in my family to start taking tirz so I had no problem telling them. Doctor now knows as of last week and was excited for me. I really don’t want to tell anyone that I’m sourcing from CN but I may end up convincing my sister to go gray since her insurance dropped coverage and she can’t afford compound right now.

Friends and coworkers, we’ll see, but probably won’t tell anyone. I’m the fat guy at work so I don’t need the potential drama and judgement.

The answer to this question has evolved over time and varies with confidence levels.
At first, I just said I quit drinking alcohol. Then I added a change of diet and workouts to my story. I had this heavy guilt that built due to not providing full disclosure of my GLP and other Peps. Currently down 107 lbs, I really don't give a fuck anymore. If you ask me now. I just say I am on the "Trinity" stack. The response is usually "What is that?" and I ask them if they have ever seen the movie. "The Matrix."

I don't care who knows or what they attribute my weight loss to. There is no such thing as cheating in WAR!!!!!

I've been pretty open about it with anyone who mentions it and may ask how I did it. I let them know it's as a result of my introduction to the wonderful world of injectable peptides. Reactions are what one would expect - some disbelief, skepticism, surprise that I would be so unwise in assuming such risk. I may tell them about the tens of thousands of us who are generously sharing anecdotal information, and the number of sophisticated websites that provide unbiased insights into the scientific research, benefits, side effects, adverse reactions, and links to animal and/or himan studies. But for the most part, I can't be bothered explaining it all - unless they're interested.

I don’t have anyone to tell besides my wife and kids. I’m already in shape just experimenting with reta
