I'm currently taking 10 mg of Tirz per week. Before that, I was on Reta at 12 mg per week, but I had bad side effects with it. Things are going better with Tirz.

However, I’m gaining weight again and wanted to switch to Elora instead of Cagri (because it didn’t really work). I’ve been on it for 3 weeks. I started with 3mg. The first week, it suppressed my appetite well. The second week, I didn’t feel anything at all, and now I’ve increased the dose to 5mg and am starting to notice a slight effect again. No side effects so far.

Medications generally don't work as well for me, so I need higher doses. Cagri only really helped for a maximum of two months. It lost its effectiveness quickly, very quickly.
I was hoping Elora would last longer, but it seems to be following the same pattern. However, it doesn't make me feel sick. I just don't feel very hungry. Cagri was more like a bulldozer. Elora is much gentler.

Thanks for sharing your journey. I think every anecdote is helpful with newer compounds like Elora, whether the experience is positive, negative, or mixed.

I also had bad side effects on reta and cagri, so I’ve essentially quit both and am waiting for Elora. It’s important to remember that there isn’t a single medication in the world that works for 100% of people. Everyone responds differently, and some people need different dosing strategies or simply don’t respond the way others do.

Please don’t be discouraged by some of the comments here. Keep sharing your journey with us, as I know I’m not the only one who’s very keen to hear how you get on.

This could very well be a you problem. The half-life is 14 days, but hopefully you knew that. That should be accounted for when considering aggressive titrations.
Ely Lilly put some people in the elora trial at 9 mg without any titration (with 9 mg being the max in phase 2, and 12 mg being the max in phase 1). So if you want to point fingers regarding lack of titration, I would start with Ely Lilly.

As a stand alone not stacked with multiple GLP's.

Its now two days after last pinning. I think the effects were strong yesterday, but totday its almost gone. I think its the same problem, as with cagri. I get used to it too fast.

I did 9mg all 48 weeks without any problem, but will start with 3 or 5 when my order gets here. Ill be taking it every 10 days and stacking with zepbound.

How much weight are you trying to lose? You are at the top dosaging for Tirz and/or Reta. Are you doing anything to help such as physical activites/working out? or are you just taking the shot and just relying on that?

Started with reta last year september. Started at 128kg. Now at about 105kg. Counting calories, adpapting it every 6 to 8 weeks. But from January on, the weight loss was extreme slow. But that was always the problem for me.
I have very young kids and a job. Working out is optional, but I eat clean and wathc out for my protein. I am much more active with the kids as before than though.

Have you tried alternating injection sites, where are you pinning?

Being on cagri in the past may increase tolerance for elora.

To me, the "pooping out" complaint with cagri could have been more a reflection of its lower efficacy.

There's always the tirz + reta + elora option for plan B/C/D/E/F. But tirz + elora would obviously be a clean stack in comparison.

Bought from Uther. I was stacking Tirz and Reta in maintenance. I've been in maintenance for a year now. My appetite was going up and I gained 4lbs, so I really wanted to try Elora. I'm still in an early transition phase. I wound down Tirz and am now at zero. In 3 weeks I went 2mg, 3mg and now 4mg/week Elora. I also am lowering Reta from 10mg to 6mg for this test. So far, I lost the 4lbs easily. The appetite suppression is very strong, but different. I don't know how to explain it. No nausea. No lump in the stomach. I just have this feeling of being full and not really wanting to eat. I can eat, and I don't have any side effects from eating, but I have to actively plan eating.

The plan over the next month is to continue Elora at 4mg/week and Reta at 6mg/week. The strong appetite suppression is what I wanted and after 3 weeks that is what I am getting. My two biggest concerns: 1) price of Elora needs to come down for long term use; and 2) what will I do with a freezer full of Tirz if I make the permanent switch to Elora.

The future seems bright for pricing going down, like if Changsha actually starts shipping their elora next month. But it will definitely be higher than GLP pricing for a long time.
