I don't think enough EU people are worried about the new EU chat control laws and how hard its going to be to get peptides..

This law supposes your messages, photos, and private conversations may be scanned without your consent and will no longer be anonymous and tied to your identity. Sure the law says it will only scan for child abuse material (which assumes that even if you talk about crimes and terrorism you won't be affected, allegedly) but once that's in place, all it takes is a software update and it will look for anything the government doesn't like and anything that doesn't bring profit.

Including peptides, once this is passed, in a few years, peptides are likely going to be impossible to get through a normal chatting app like many of us use such as whatsapp or telegram, without hard and complex technological bypasses, because this law also includes a client-sided scan before the message is even sent (so the device will scan, not the app) , so this will be universal for any messaging app. Forums like these are also in fact included specifically.

Example: The UK’s CCTV Networks (1990s) (disclosure: used ai here)
Following the 1993 installation of London’s "Ring of Steel" for counter-terrorism, the UK’s CCTV network expanded to monitor minor offenses within one to four years.
  • Cameras were heavily deployed across British cities under the banner of counter-terrorism (specifically targeting the IRA threat).
  • Once the physical camera infrastructure was paid for and placed on every street corner, the mission shifted. Today, the network is used to issue fines for littering, minor traffic violations, and monitoring public assemblies.

This monday, 29 June, the EU trilogue negotiations on the Chat Control 2.0 proposal did not produce a final agreement or a concluded decision. As a result, the meeting ended without closing the file, and further negotiations were expected instead of any immediate adoption or rejection of the law.
And now its likely the vote will be scheduled in July.

Looks like now’s the time to stockpile…either peps or hack-proof computers or both 🤣

dos old computer GIF

So, forgive my ignorance, but if they're going to be scanning messaging apps, surely that does NOT include personal emails? So....wouldn't you just communicate with sellers that way? WhatsApp and such aren't entirely necessary.

time to get yourself one of those privacy devices. There are numerous alternatives to the popular options. For me, by the time it clicks into place fully (a good 20 years) Ill be done needing peps. I doubt anything will happen - rich folks that manipulate the laws also like to operate without supervision.

They said "hosting services" which are defined as any service that stores information provided by, and at the request of, a recipient, so:
  • Public discussion forums
  • Community platforms
  • Social media sites
  • Messaging apps
  • Email providers
  • Cloud storage services

Will the EU actually be that interested in peptides? I know the US government could make peptides difficult enough to acquire that most of us, including me, would be unwilling to go through the effort but they won't both.
On one hand, this law is already impractical from the sheer amount of false positives which could arise, we're talking about billions of messages over the internet, even with a 99.9% successful detection rate, the 0.1% is a mountain of fake reports, if they add substances, which IMO is already harder to detect without false positives (mainly through jokes because all over social media there's people who talk about buying stuff but never actually intended), it would be borderline impossible.

On the other hand, substances/peptide/PED/counterfeit medicine markets, are all mainly done on messaging apps and social platforms, if this evolves into a mission creep, that would be the next target.

It appears that the EU is ruled by unelected bureaucrats who don't give a rat's arse about what the serfs think. At least that is how it appears to a barbarian from the wild wild west that is the US of A.

And this somehow seems to include UK who I thought had done this Brexit thing where they sort of opted out of that whole deal. So, admittedly, I have no idea how that works, but I don't want any part of it.

I'd rather live in Latin America where they don't seem to be all freaked out over things like hormone replacement therapy and peptides like the FDA does or the powers to be in the EU do. Everyone I know down there seems to be into all of that and it seems like no one cares. Probably better off stepping into a pothole in the street and breaking my ankle than having a bunch of bureaucrats harassing me over things that are none of their business, here in my first world with perfect infrastructure and sidewalks with no giant holes .

Signal was talking about leaving Europe a few months ago.
We’ll switch to self-hosted email servers or open-source encrypted email apps. It’s not very complicated; it’s just a bit of a hassle to manage and secure.
Quantum-resistant encryption algorithms are already freely available. Do they really think that people who seriously want to hide something won’t use them?

It would be horrible if you just so happen to set up a group of likeminded people to idk... Have homes outside the area of influence. Since you have other countries within driving distance... and set up supply chains for said things....Couldnt possibly be the next most lucrative sidegig since the youtube influencer and bitcoin boom.

Just an FYI for those not in the know. Only the USA has a true 4th amdt protection against warrantless searches. The EU and GB (and the rest of the world for that matter) give nothing but lip-service to 'unreasonable search and seizure' laws. But when we drill-down into foreign laws none of them protect the citizen or subject (subject to the crown for example) from government searches of any sort. They can come right in if they so choose, or read your peptide orders.

In light of the above, AI and various encryption breaking methods are in common use today searching your communications. Even the USA simply sends 'suspected terrorist' communications to England, where they unpack the facts with abandon.

They don't give a damn about pedos. Hell most of them are pedophiles. They want control over everything in your life. No peptides for you, only crickets and vaccines.

This has been a topic now for a few years in EU but it was voted down by a few countrys that has some backbone.
All IT professionals within security warns about this intrusion in privacy and says China is not even close if this goes through.
They try to impose this law with the reason its to keep children safe from pedofiles.
But there must be other ways to safeguard children than impose this total massurveilance.
It is insane and EU citizen needs to know the dangers but media talks very little about it.

There are surely very dystopian times ahead of us all here in Europe and also in America, what frightens me the most is the pace at which our freedoms are being taken from us, all for a more expensive and much unsafer society too.

We will have to go back to using the darknet for our peptides ☠️

"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

That's basically it. Thank you Benjamin!
