Technically I don't have an autoclave either, just a 15 PSI pressure canner. But you can verify the temperature inside, and temp/time sterilization tables are completely understood.
Most Instant Pots do not hit 15 PSI but you can sterilize at lower pressure if you can run it long enough. And sterilizing liquids is much easier than bulk dry goods where you need to make SURE the steam penetrates fully.
Hmm, what if benzyl alcohol isn't stable at high temperatures though? What if they use some other sterilization method like gamma radiation?

Apparently benzyl alcohol is stable under autoclave conditions. It does seem quite possible to make our own bac water. I reckon it is a smaller risk than the Chinese chemicals we inject, hah.
