So, i have recently learned that Hospira BAC water can now only be bought with a prescription! Smart move by big pharma. Other brands of BAC water are also being gone after i have heard (someone on another forum said some grey vendors have admitted that BAC water regulations are tightening)

I am also concerned about the tariff situation. I saw someone post that their product from overseas was seized and they are not getting another order.

Is anyone concerned that Grey--even overseas---MAY be coming to an end?

Am i just paranoid?

thoughts? comments?

We might as well get nursing degrees at this point anyway. But I don't want to deal with the blood 😭
I'd be okay with the blood, but not the blood relatives.

I think technically bac water has long required a prescription in the US, but the internets seem to think that varies by jurisdiction (like syringes).

We'll just source it overseas like all the rest of the shit we're putting in our bodies... Bac, that is.

The FDA is doing a great job of keeping fentanyl out of this country, right? There is always a way...

Just placed an order purchasing 6 bottles from Amsco about 2 minutes ago upon this advice. My parents are super impressed at my results over 2 years on gray, they started in April and I've been their plug. They need their own Bac water to store so I don't have to keep transporting mine to their house! Let's see what happens...

Well Medex just now let me check out with my panic-buy case of BAC water. I hope it has a far-off expiration date.
A year and a half last time I ordered from them. I do wonder if that date means anything or it just their because they have to have a date.

They never learned from Prohibition. It's like we're a bunch of little speakeasies spread all over! Special password and doorknock and welcome to the party

If Hospira BAC gets to the point it can't be sourced, other than by medical, I, like many others will make our own. Hopefully, that additional chore won't occur.
I mean who in their right mind would let the UNTRAINED masses get their uninitiated hands on filtered water with a sploosh of alcohol without a prescription??

That's probably why it's sold by prescription by name brand. You can get off brand bac anywhere without issue. Our gvt leaders are uniformed morons who won popularity contests...
I have seen Excela brand ( another pharma company I believe, but not clear) they had a recal though in March 2025. However, pfizer has in the past as well.

Almost makes me want to panic buy another large order. However the Me x place often will have bac water that is close to expiring.

I need to get one of those! Right now, I have sterile sleeves/pouches and the instapot, but an autoclave would be superior.
Technically I don't have an autoclave either, just a 15 PSI pressure canner. But you can verify the temperature inside, and temp/time sterilization tables are completely understood.

Most Instant Pots do not hit 15 PSI but you can sterilize at lower pressure if you can run it long enough. And sterilizing liquids is much easier than bulk dry goods where you need to make SURE the steam penetrates fully.

Hmm, what if benzyl alcohol isn't stable at high temperatures though? What if they use some other sterilization method like gamma radiation?

Checks google

Apparently benzyl alcohol is stable under autoclave conditions. It does seem quite possible to make our own bac water. I reckon it is a smaller risk than the Chinese chemicals we inject, hah.

I've read varying ideas on the instapot pressure. It appears to me from what I've gathered that the longer the better due to the PSI (averaging range 2-3 hrs). Personally, for me and my research, I don't think I'd pressure with the actual product, just sterilize the lab assesories/ vials, beakers, glass rods, and alike ( items for mixing). I would fill my sterilized vials and use my bac w/in 30 days since there would not be a vacuum. It's not ideal, but it is what I plan to do if the Hospira BAC apocalypse occurs. Not perfect, but certainly more comfortable for me than China swamp water.
I also have to nix the gamma radiation..... no one would like me when I'm angry😆

I buy it often in a pack of 25, no prescription.

I would stock up more even for "shits and giggles" (and because of the "Rx only" on the bottle).

But the bottle from my current source (Peptide Test) has the expiration for just over a year from now. I'm sure it would be good much longer than that, but how much longer? I guess an extra year or two would be very safe.

I feel silly for impulse buying for no real legitimate reason but then the panic reasoning kicks in: I'd rather have some extra BAC water to throw out than have none when I need it for my 2 years' worth of peptides. I've always been a better safe than sorry type A.

I think that makes perfect sense.

What I heard, and what I experienced during my one purchase of 25 vials of Hospira BAC water, is that the medical supply places will state that a person must upload their medical license in order to purchase the BAC water but that they don't enforce this. I believe I recall reading that Janoshik said that in the EU, folks use sterile water and not BAC water because BAC water is unavailable. Don't ask me whether any peptides mixed with sterile water need to be used immediately. I'm pretty sure that sterile water means something other than distilled water.

If a vial is a small amount of pep and will be used in only 1-2 injections, sterile water would likely be fine because the mixed solution doesn’t sit in the vial a long time. If it is longer than that, I wouldn’t take the risk.

AMSCO still has it available.

Price has increased from $75 to $112.

I'm stocking up on tirz and other peptides. I have 5 bottles of bac water. Now I'm thinking of just getting the whole box, just to have. This all becomes so addicting😄😄😄
It surely does. I started Labor Day of 2023 and barely a day has gone by since then when I have not thought of or spoken of GLP-1s in some way.

I have a guy who just sells gray GLP-1s. I have bought from him twice. It's a private seller, they can't touch him. Gis latest concern was tariffs, but they resumed as of May 2nd. Anyone interested in group buy, and splitting the lab analysis, let me know.

I bought from them once about 9 months ago and received emails from one of their reps in past few weeks asking me if I need it for $80 a case. If you message the rep they assigned you with your past order you can probably get the same deal. I’m definitely not a member of some elite club.
