It's been about six weeks down 30. I know it's going to take a lot. I'm going to have to do some fasting and ride an exercise bike every day. Really hump it good. So far i have done no exercise.

Had 2 doses script Zepbound 2.5. Then 2-2.5 research tirz then 2-5 research tirz. And a little Reta at 1mg/2mg with the tirz. Maybe switch over to Reta because it makes me feel good. Hording the script zep for the wife.

I think it's possible with these drugs and hard work and eating like a supermodel on top of them.

So half the amount of op…. Look at what they’re eating,,. They will not be gaining muscle …..
sorry I made wrong calculation from LBS in KG.
"eating like a supermodel" is totally wrong. I eat 200g of proteins per day and have very good results and have time to time a pizza or Wienerschnitzel etc.

@raw_oyster_eater please note if you do so, each KG which you loose will be around 20% muscle mass loss. and this is what you definitely not want

You always hear of these actors losing weight really quick for parts. There's a fasting subreddit where people only drink water for up to 30 days and they are saying it's healthy and really adamant about it. At some point i'll probably start feeling really bad and back off. But it's surprising how good you can feel with calorie restriction. The reta makes me feel virile and may be able to help me.

The actors usually have a full medical team in the background, and I'm not sure if everything they say is true. I heard about 48-hour fasting, which is good for your insulin sensitivity.

30 days is definitely not easy and not something everyone should do.
Here short summary of ChatGPT:
Pros and Cons of Water Fasting

Pros:

1. Detoxification: Believed to help cleanse the body of toxins.
2. Weight Loss: Leads to rapid weight loss by burning stored fat.
3. Improved Insulin Sensitivity: Can help regulate blood sugar levels.
4. Autophagy: Promotes cell repair and rejuvenation.
5. Reduced Inflammation: Can have anti-inflammatory effects.

Cons:
1. Nutrient Deficiency: Lack of essential vitamins, minerals, and proteins.
2. Muscle Loss: Risk of muscle tissue breakdown for energy.
3. Circulatory Issues: Can cause low blood pressure and dizziness.
4. Weakness and Fatigue: Lack of calories and nutrients can lead to tiredness and concentration problems.
5. Risk of Eating Disorders: Can increase the risk of developing or worsening eating disorders.
6. Medical Risks: Potentially serious risks for people with certain health conditions; should be done under medical supervision.

Water fasting can offer health benefits but also carries significant risks. Always consult a doctor before starting a prolonged water fast.

I can't eat 200 g protein on triz. I get too full and my side starts to hurt. Can you? What are you eating. That's 9 cans of tuna fish one of the densest protein sources.. I can do 2 a day.

There are protein shakes and also Greek Yogurth mixed with protein shake etc.
there are many protein sources which you can choose from

Tuna cans without Oil?
If your plan is to loose so much, you need protein to protect your muscle

If it’s making you feel full that quickly and suppressing your appetite that much, you should lower your dose. I don’t know anyone doing a water fast for 30 days it’s 24-72 hours … that’s literally insane. Your hair and teeth will fall out from malnutrition and you could very likely end up in the hospital.

agreed. there are a bunch of people doing the week fasts which i still think is pretty radical but they love it. they think its rebuilding their body thru autophagy

i'm doing the "dirty" fasting where you still eat something but severely limit your calories. I'm not worried about losing some muscle. I've done work on my core thru the years and all it ever did was make me look really thick. I don't like the look.

I use 1.6 x goal weight (kg) to maintain muscle while losing and 2x to gain muscle while losing weight as my guide. OP would need to consume 157 grams of protein to increase muscle mass while losing. This assumes that he’s not 65+ years old. Do you concur?

I’m eating in the 1.6x to 2x range and all from solid food - no shakes.

F that sheldon cooper, lol. If i do protein powder there's no room left to enjoy any real food. I can go and enjoy sashimi or have a protein shake. Or have small portions of cocktail shrimp or lobster small steak, oysters clams.

My wife and i have been discussing this. What gives you the best protein bang for the calories. Like a (mg protein/calories) ratio. We didn't find that powders have any significantly higher ratio than eating real food that you can enjoy. If you know of something let me know. I don't know if a can drink these disgusting things long term though.

I've always been a huge protein eater. If someone gave me a pasta dish, i'd eat the protein off the top and throw the rest in the trash. Never ate dessert.

Nobody eats tuna in oil anymore. I'm not that big an idiot.

I eat 10-12 pieces of fried chicken for OMAD but i still get fat. KETO does not work for me. I have to drastically restrict calories and eat only protein to make this work.

I have lost 72 lbs in 113 days so far. It is doable but can potentially cause some health issues. Its smart to be closely monitored by doc. Protein, exercise and Tirzepatide have helped a lot. My goal is to lose my wife’s bodyweight 122 lbs … 280 now , was 352 in mid April. 1200 cal diet, strict and monitor every calorie through MyFitnessPal. I did break my diet for a week and a half when I was in the Philippines in June

My wife had to go in for a consult and blood tests as the insurance protocol for being on covered zepbound. I'm on the same plan so i am being monitored. They do a comprehensive blood work up.

I'm just not going to be totally honest that we're saving all my zep for the wife and i'm using tirz from other sources. Also not going to tell them that i'm only eating a can of sardines a day.

I found fasting the first 1-2 weeks helps but after that a 1200 calorie diet and the weight comes off rapidly …. Don’t worry about ketosis….. i make sure I stick to at least 80 grams of protein
And cut the sugar

Sorry, don't get me wrong. I was not talking about replacing food with shakes. I use shakes in addition to my regular diet to get more protein in my body. Here, we have Clear Whey Protein Isolate, and it feels like drinking water with protein.

I am also high protein and on Tirz with little appetite. You switch things out that are low in protein with things that are higher. Use blended smooth cottage cheese for dips and dressings rather than sour cream. I sip on bone broth during the day. I also make bento type boxes with nuts, lunch meat rolled with cheese, jerky...etc and snack all day. Rather than eating a meal and being full all day. I would sit and think about your meals you like and their recipes. What can you switch out of them to make them more protein dense?

Add an essential amino acid (EAA) to help supplement your protein. There are shake and pill forms. I had a really hard time hitting my protein requirements and my hair started to fall out and my nails were becoming brittle. I added an EAA (pill form) and by the second week of adding it, my hair stopped falling out. EAAs are not meant to replace your protein, they are a supplement so you still need to try and hit your protein goals. They are the building blocks of protein and help your body better absorb more of the protein that you consume.

thank you that's very good information. you're awesome. 0 calories in EAA

on another note.
i got a vial of reta yesterday and like a crack addict rushed into the house to shoot up. I'm thinking on the first shot of any vial just a little bit (1/2 minimum dose?) and wait overnight to see if there is any bad reaction then full dose the next day.

You’re welcome! I don’t have any experience with Reta, only Tirz and Teso. But plenty others here could chime in on their Reta experience.

So the thing is. Right now i'm eating almost nothing because i think its going to hurt to put it in. My digestive system has slowed to a crawl. My back was hurting last night. I was able to go just enough to relive that this morning.

I am sure you must know, but just a reminder that Reta increases appetite as it revs up metabolism. Weight loss still occurs in spite of – or perhaps because of – increased caloric intake.

sorry to be in disagreement with everyone but i'm not hungry at all. I try not to be led by what i'm supposed to experience but really be very objective. It's still making me stiff in the morning so i know this latest vial is good too (ac peptides new vs peptide sciences old). I'm going to start a vial of AMOPURE as soon as it gets here to make sure i get the same experience. I just wish everything didn't slow down my digestion so much.

Forgive me if I misunderstood … but didn't you tell us you just started taking Reta on Thursday? And today is Saturday? I don't mean to be contrary, but with most of these medications, doesn't it often take time and titration to really experience the common and/or intended effects? For example, increased appetite and accelerated metabolism? Regardless, I wish you all success in safely achieving your goals.

thursday i got my second vial from AC peptides r22. I had already gone thru a r6 from peptide sciences

4 lbs a week is not a healthy weight loss amount. 1 pound of fat is 3500 calories, so in order to lose 4 lbs a week, you'd have to eat at a 2000 calorie deficit every day. Slow and steady wins the race. 1-2 lbs per week is a healthy rate to lose.
Depends on how much fat mass one has to start . A short term VLCD can be done safely. I am down 87 lbs in 119 days from a 1200 calorie diet.

I think philosophies are changing. The intermittent fast is becoming very popular. Long term hard core fasts are showing good health benefits. It forces your body to "rebuild" itself. There's some info on redditt.

Tirz and reta work so well I can go a few days without eating anything and never get hungry and that's on the minimum doses. When I get out of the hot tub I feel very light headed though and taking my BP i'm getting like 70/40 but it recovers fast.

I've got ketosis going. Had a sashima delux 21pc on Sunday, then just a can of kipper snacks on Monday. Nothing yet today. The test strip shows purple but not the darkest yet.
Can you say more about a test strip? What does it do, where do u buy it? Is there one for RETA? Ty!

I think he’s referring to ketone test strips. It measures the amount of ketone bodies detected in your urine. The color of the strip is compared to a color scale usually printed along the side of the ketone strip container. The darker colors, purple in this case, is usually an indicator of being in a state of ketosis typically brought about by prolonged fasting. The strip is not peptide related.

Hi Goodvibes- thank you. I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my question -- thoroughly too. Continued success on your glp-1 journey!

I have heard that fasting can prevent the gallbladder from emptying completely which can cause gallstones to form. I stopped intermittent fasting and have started eating small bites through the day. Don't know how true the gallstone thing is but if it is anything like a kidney stone, I say no thanks!

Yes rapid weight loss can cause the gallbladder to go bad…. One can take actigal to prevent the gallstones too. I eat a 1200 calorie diet and never cut out fat ,,, the gallbladders purpose is to digest fat so I want it to work

Many folks uric acid gets high with rapid weight loss too…. This can cause gout flares and kidney stones……… not all kidney stones are calcium…… I have passed several gallstones slight discomfort and nausea for 2 days. I have passed one kidney stone and dear God it was 48 hours of hell

I suffered a bit longer with my kidney stone. Almost 2 weeks. It really sucked!!!

I am trying to keep everything in balance to avoid anything "stone" related. Will keep an eye on the uric acid too! Thanks!

I will take heed of your warnings. I actually had a 9mm kidney stone that had to be surgically removed from my ureter using a laser My best guess was because I was eating 2 dozen raw oysters a week at $1ea happy hour over a period of about a year.

It takes some time for a stone to form. My immediate concern is my heart rate right now is 120 bpm with a BP of 107/71. I have beta blockers to reduce my heart rate but it will also reduce my BP which gets even lower at night.

i ramped up to 4mg reta and wish ihadn't. I'm going to wait until my heart rate settles down then resume reta at 1mg.

as a update, i'm down 6 pounds since i started the thread. 236.6

the kidney stone warning gives me an idea. I have a 24hr urine analysis I never used. Now would be a good time to see what's in there.

Add a parathyroid tumor my neck at the VA missed for eight years that’s what caused my stones

Is it a 24 hour urine analysis for calcium or protein? I love a good Mississippi Gulf Coast oyster myself.

calcium vs uric acid or struvite or cystine Once you know what the urine looks like you can modify your diet to lower that excessive substance/byproduct.

I used to eat Louisiana oysters at LSU till i got sick. They're about 3 times the size of a NE oyster. We also had some nice crawfish boils. I'm a big time protein eater.

Surprisingly, a tumor on one my parathyroids caused mine as well. I got that gland removed along with a nodule on my thyroid while they were in there. It was a shit show trying to locate the parathyroids.

Yeah, that’ll be a good workup for the urine… if the 24 hour urine is high for calcium though I would get a serum calcium level if that’s elevated you need a pth level. With the parathyroid tumor I had I was peeing a whole lot of calcium……..

I was raised on the Mississippi coast …. I have eaten thousands of gulf raw oysters never even got a bellyache. I ate a raw oyster in California it tasted rotten spit it out and I got really sick from that………..

Yeah, I love crawfish bowls. I did a big one last year with a sucking pig roast…….

"I used to eat Louisiana oysters at LSU"

LSU grad here as well. Used to eat them at Mike Anderson's Seafood during happy hour back in the day -- the special was .25 per oyster, and cheap draft beer. <insert cheers emoji>
