Welcome Linda! I am assuming by your title you are mainly interested in Reta. Have you used any peptides before? What are your goals?I just joined this community. I'm very interested in peptides and hope to communicate with everyone.
Are the suppliers here trustworthy?Welcome Linda, lots of good info here. I'm new to the group too, but not the world of Peps. Lots of good suppliers out there but as with everything, lots of charlatans too, so word of mouth is king
We do not endorse or vet vendors. But if they completely rip someone off they would be banned. Are the suppliers here trustworthy?
There are also US warehouses for the China vendors. If you are really worried don't shop China direct sources, choose a US vendor.
This isn't "for the most part", It's 100% of them.US vendors for the most part are re-selling cheap Chinese peptides
I wasn't willing to say they are 100% overseas produced but I figured it was. This isn't "for the most part", It's 100% of them.
True but the same problem exists with direct sourcing, in that the lack of COA (I know some of them offer testing but not all) and labeling still makes it riskier than just using a US based reseller. Another advantage of using US based resellers is that you have someone to pursue if something goes horribly wrong with a purchase. Going after a Chinese company for this would be impossible. There are also US warehouses for the China vendors.
Did you have any spikes in your heart rate at all?Hi and welcome! I have used Reta since June 2024. If you have any questions or just want general information about it you can just ask or you can read my intro page below in my signature. Good luck on your journey!
Not saying this is the case with you. When people read what "purity" in their vial really accounts for they might be disappointed.I think it might help to put my aversion to China in context:
About 20 years ago when I first lost a 100 lbs by low carb dieting I was eating a lot of vital wheat gluten as a wheat substitute in recipes. Vital wheat gluten is used in baking to improve texture and structure of dough. I ate this for years in low carb pancakes, probably every a.m. Then early in the 2000's (2003 or 2004) the news came out that China had been adding melamine to the vital wheat gluten they were selling to the US in order to increase their profit margin. Yes, melamine, a chemical that is approved for a variety of industrial uses (like making melamine plates, bowls, furniture, etc.) I discovered the brand of VWG I had been buying (a well known name brand sold at Wal-mart) all those years was one of those that had been contaminated. So I have no trust whatsoever in Chinese manufacturing practices.
I concede that peptides are different because they know that folks can and will test the peptides for purity, but I don't put it past them to try to save a buck someway somehow (they also sold us contaminated toothpaste a few years later).

i think you are giving yourself a false sense of security with the domestic resellers. Those coa are worthless and these aren't real businesses. They are the modern equivalent of corner dealers. You can cause them trouble but you're not going to get anything from them.True but the same problem exists with direct sourcing, in that the lack of COA (I know some of them offer testing but not all) and labeling still makes it riskier than just using a US based reseller. I don't rule out the possibility that some lypholizing or peptides occurs in the US. By some accounts, that would amount to manufacturing. Also, since we know so little about how grey works, maybe someone is manufacturing in the US.This isn't "for the most part", It's 100% of them.

You mentioned contaminated product from China which is all true but all underground supply comes from China and there could be any contamination in any of them and none of us would know no matter how much testing we do.
When you hire a lab to independently confirm that the peptide sold to you contains what has been represented, it's tested for that peptide only and perhaps sterility if you paid extra. However, they don't intentionally test it for contaminants. The lab is not assuring you that there is no poison in the vial. Conducting that type of testing would be cost prohibitive. Sometimes a contaminant will be accidentally found because that particular contaminant interferes with testing of the target peptide.I think it might help to put my aversion to China in context:

Wasn't there also a site that was selling under dosed tirz? Wasn't Cantydes domestic and having issues? And then Spicy being involved with Deb's. I also don't think I'd trust most places with an affiliate program, since they know the attention can get them a love letter from the FDA and are therefore probably trying to make as much cash as they can before shutting down.i think you are giving yourself a false sense of security with the domestic resellers. So I'm a total jackass and only an economist in my own mind(logistician by trade) - but my overarching opinion on the Manufacturing Conglomerate known as The Peoples Republic of China has a bit of nuance:I think it might help to put my aversion to China in context:

I mean most people here are buying research peptides at like 10% of the cost of main pharmaceutical companies. People who couldn't otherwise afford them are now able to. So I don't think they are the villains here, nor do I think they are profiteering. Sure, they are making money, but in the grand scheme they are providing a valuable service to a lot of people. So I'm a total jackass and only an economist in my own mind(logistician by trade) - but my overarching opinion on the Manufacturing Conglomerate known as The Peoples Republic of China has a bit of nuance:
China from its industrial revolution(I dont know when this was, I give very few fks about chinese history) until like probably the mid-90s had to operate under a different set of goals and parameters to achieve the outcome of undermining and eliminating their competition. They would do whatever necessary to save a buck, because they needed that buck to beat the rest of the labor pool bad enough to continue the turning tide in their favor. This could lead to drops in quality, working with cheap or below-average vendors, and using shitty ingredients and fillers.
China TODAY won that war, and have a ridiculous death grip on total manufacturing output thats stood for the last 15 consecutive years. Plants in other countries shut down, consumers got used to buying their goods, and now China has slowly increased prices now that they control the manufacturing market. the strategies used to KEEP a foothold vs GETTING one initially are different - I might scam you to get your country to stop making wagons, and my wagons might be shit, but once your country doesn't make wagons at all, you HAVE to buy my wagon or have no wagon. Now that I have no competition I can make a better more expensive wagon, and because im still the only wagon on the market, you'll buy my wagon, but with a better feeling knowing I make better wagons than I did 2 years ago.
Its not a popular opinion, but I dont think China is some supervillain entity.
