Do you prefer to reconstitute with 2ml or 3ml? I bought T30s waiting for them to come in & deciding. I am brand new to this never tried any at all. I would have bought lower but 30 was the lowest from the supplier I went with.

I am going to start with 1mg in case. Since I'm starting so low, should I divide in multiple pen carts (2-3) & freeze the rest or just put all in 1 since I'm not drawing out every week?

I prefer to recon based on 2.5mg doses. 1.3ml per 30mg. Comes out to 10units for every 2.5 mg dose. 5mg is 20units 7.5mg is 30units.
I had to make it more idiot proof for my crew lol
There's some good calculators online to help. A 30mg vial is a lot if you plan to start with 1mg though.Unless you plan to dose more frequently. 😉

I say freeze/thaw on tirz is fine, because Janoshik and everybody else except manufacturers who had tirz in auto-pens (which ran a risk of breaking) says it's fine. And because I freeze/thaw both tirz and survo (aliquoted into a vial or a not-all-the-way full cart, so it's only frozen and thawed once) regularly and have noticed any problems.

Maybe you just want to start at the actual recommended starting dose of 2.5mg's like they'd have you do on Zepbound. That's where they start everybody. The 1st therapeutic dose is 5mg's. So, the 1st month you'd go through 10mg's, 2nd month if you titrate into therapeutic dose as I did you'll go through the next 20mg's...
I mean, you can do whatever you want, and you could stay at 1 or 2.5 or whatever, just saying, if you've never done a GLP-1, might as well start with a starting dose. but YMMV
*If you decide to stick with your plan, and you mix 1ml bac that'd be 3 units for 1MG, that's tiny and hard to measure, I'd just do 3ml's so you'd at least do a 10 unit injection..You might want to buy those little 30 unit syringes.
Good luck whatever you do

Thank you!! I've never tried any so not sure how its going to effect me. I wanted to start lower just in case. If it doesn't do anything for me I will increase faster (week or 2 to the 2.5). I just want to get a small feel for it first.

I don't even drink & when I had a procedure, they had a hard time waking me & were saying got a lightweight here lol. I know its completely different & everything is different for everyone.

That's for sure, everyone is different, totally understandable. keep us informed on how it goes!

I didn't know you could go with something lower like 1.3ml. I thought the average is 2ml & 3ml & divide into dosages. 1.3ml is prob even more comfortable bc less liquid injecting?

I totally get this approach🙂 I have a couple friends who respond to 1.25mg. If it works, it works. Don't titrate until it doesn't work🙂

Edit: 1.25mg

I don't know how much I can add to the discussion here, but I recon 60 mg Tirz vials (65.xx tested) with a single ml of BAC and roll from there. The Mrs. takes .14 ml of this every 84 hours.

Keep it as simple as possible and do 3ml of water for 30 mg so 10 units = 1mg. Also, use Hospira brand Bac water. You’ll see discussions about that here. Personally I only use Hospira. Once you are used to that ratio maybe do 1.5 ml of water to 30 mg so it’s 5 units = 1 mg. Easy math no calculator required.

I'd like to say I did this on purpose but it was totally by accident & it works well. I purchase 30 MG amounts of tirz. When I'm ready to reconstitute, I add 3ml of reconstituting liquid. The vials they ship the gray tirz in just perfectly holds 3ml of liquid. 30mg tirz per 3 ml gives you 10 mg tirz per ml. Perfect! Each 0.10 ml of solutition marked on the body of the syringe (one unit) provides 1 mg. I am still taking 2 mg tirz twice weekly so I use 0.5 ml syringes for greater accuracy. I was a chemist during my work life and am comfortable with the metric system and making dilutions. I don't know if these dilutions sounds simple to others or not.

Thatkatmat, has the right idea. Zepbound comes in single use vials from 2.5mg to 15mg. All have .5ml of juice in the vial, respectively. If I were to load a tester, for the first pin, I might draw half (.25ml) @half of 2.5mg or 1.25mg test dose.

Less water do you feel it less? This is what I am mainly thinking about, I can always calculate any amount 🙂

Even their 15mg is .5ml?

I like 1ml per 10mg for up to 30mg vials (for ease of calculation). That puts you at 10 units for 1mg. If you are going up in dose you may want to reduce the BAC water so you're injecting less fluid volume. But I've injected up to 50 units with no real discomfort, but we're all different that way.

It feels the same… 2 mg in 20 units or 2 mg in 10 units no difference
I was meaning do you feel less if I add 1ml vs 2ml? to the same 30g (dividing to same dose of course) 😉 Thank you!

Im new & such a baby with needles so trying everything to have as least pain as possible, ha ha
