Hey all, fairly new to the forum and Reta. Used Mj for about 6 months last year, so not new the GLP'S. Also had a mini gastric bypass in 2023 (all successful, no issues and lost about 8 stobe initially).

I started my Reta journey 5 weeks ago. R10, 2ml Bac and 2mg doses. All has been great, no real side effects, food noise gone and definitely feeling fuller and less temptation for food.

Saturday gone was my 5th and final dose. Same vial, 2mg, injection into right love handle. Not sure if a.coincidence but I feel like I've been hit by a truck! Awful night saturday night, diarrhea, awful reflux (never had it before) and nausea. Sunday i took it easy and gradually started to feel better. I've been careful since, no fatty foods or huge meals. Been ok but today feeling pretty grotty again, just tired and lethargic and yuk. I have zero appetite and zero room for food - 2 mouthfuls and I am done!

Couple of other things to note that may or may not be impacting:

I was in india last week - ate and drank fine and enjoyed plenty. No issues whatsoever. Drank good amounts including electrolytes.

I am having a low iron issue, under docs review at the minute, plenty of investigation done and no cause. They're putting it down to post bypass malabsorptrion and supposedly referring me for an iron infusion.

Saturday morning I pinned my last dose from first vial. I'll admit I was rubbish and barely drank that day. I also probably did too much given I only got back to the UK Fri night, jetlag, lack of sleep, etc.

I think tbats it for now - anyone have any thoughts? I feel like the full portion of Reta was in this last dose and has hit me at 100 miles an hour - but doubt its truly that as I reconstituted beautifully with no concerns.

Was tempted to titrate up, but will hold off for now, even if I do pin at the weekend.

If it is the same vial and you had no issues before, I would blame indian adventure...don't want to be rude, but it's considered the most filthy place in the world, so you could even catch something in the air...

Fair 🙂

After 5 weeks, you’ve reached steady state, meaning the cumulative dose in your body is at its maximum. You should stay at this dose for now to see how the side effects develop.

Take vitamin C; it’s necessary for proper iron absorption. If you’re deficient in it, that alone could explain the fatigue.

You’ve just returned from India, so perhaps you caught something there, which wouldn’t be unusual.

So you changed your food routine and daily rhythm for a week, just came home after a long international flight, were jetlagged, had lack of sleep and didn't drink enough.

Maybe, just maybe, it's not just the Reta 🧐

I like your thinking! You know when you just need someone else to say it out loud!! 🤣

Yeah I do take vit c and have my iron with orange juice to help absorption. I think I just need the docs to hurry up and help get my levels back to normal somehow!

2mg doses can be hell, sarcasm implied. My wife and I are both on 8mg and have never felt those symptoms. Going to 9mg next Sunday.

You have been lucky in not having side effects like many people do.
I never go up more than 0.5mg at a time.
