A pen is obviously the most sanitary way to do my tirzepatide; since I ought to be filtering them anyway, why not filter into a cartridge, install it in a pen, and use it that way so that no air ever gets into the "vial" in the course of using up the med; and I don't have to keep piercing the vial every time.

A pen is so obviously a horribly unsanitary way to do my tirzepatide, which will surely become contaminated from backflow and I'm just fooling myself about it keeping a vial fresher for longer.

I have googled for days, watched videos, even got on TikTok (I did NOT like that, I am too old for all that), read many discussions, and discussed it extensively with ChatGPT, because "a machine confidently lying to me" is somehow acceptable to me.

I have bought all of the other supplies; I have enough of everything to last me years. If nuclear war happened, I'd be a frightened savage scavenging in the wilderness but by God I'd be a THIN frightened savage (assuming my freezer still works.) Now I am bored and I want the dopamine hit of buying a pen and feeling happy about how sanitary it will make it when I inject Chinese mystery powder I bought from someone who called me "Dear."

But, like...which is it? Is it more sanitary, or less sanitary?

This just in: the exact conversation I needed to either have or read someone else having just spontaneously arose in the thread about people's experience with SSA. 😂 So I guess we're good!

peptide testers did a couple of you tube videos on sanitary recon and filtering.

THANK you, I'll go check that out! The reason I'm super interested is because I've got T-30's on a 2.5 mg dose, and IF I can make them last the whole twelve weeks, then I'm pretty much done buying tirz, for years. Maybe that's fine with or without extra steps (filtering, pen), maybe that's too dangerous even with the most care and caution. I haven't figured out where I fall on that spectrum, in terms of my own comfort level.

Thank goodness. Now you can free your budget to buy the peptide-of-the-day, the group-buy-of-the-day, a dozen NovoPen 6 pens, and customized, 3D-printed storage solutions, haha.

I recently started using Pen's. When you pin different peps daily, you generate much medical waste. With the pen, is now minimal. I can put 5-10 doses in a cartridge. Do more poking the vial each day. I like the fact there is no air in the cartridge. Studies show 'dirty' air from the environment, is a contributing factor to bacteria growth in a vial.

Once you try a pen, you will realize there is no backflow. If you remove the pen quickly, you will see a drop or two of your pep leak out, because the cartridge is under pressure, as the plunger is pushing the liquid out. To avoid getting a short dose, you are instructed (by Eli Lilly) to wait a few seconds for the pressure to drop off and to ensure you got your full dose, and then remove the pen. Pen more sterile/sanitary imo.

Same here. I split that into .7 every other day, so a pen would be great.

So true, I havent yet, just because i can't decide which ones to buy and who from! I come to a different conclusion every day after reading this forum 🤣

I have no idea but can I be your tent neighbor in the apolocypse? I too will have my hoards of peps/supplies, and my treasured water bottle. And likely little else... we can share a freezer.
On the bright side, there'll be no danger of us regaining the lost weight, because we'll be too busy trying not to be hunted by neighborhood teenagers for sport and trying to remember what weeds are edible to do much snacking.

Thank you--that's good to hear! I got a cool sharps container for syringes that cuts off the tip so you can toss the rest in the garbage, since it has no needle and can't stick anyone, but given the option, I'd really rather just generate less plastic waste to begin with.

I got tired of agonizing and pulled the trigger on two v1's from thepeppen, and twenty cartridges to start with. It looks like the needles they offer are the same brand as on Amazon (just more expensive), so I'ma wait til I get back from this wedding and order them from there. I'm trying out KLOW (and then NOT trying out anymore peptides, injecting things is NOT a hobby damnit), so I'll get to play with it all next week.

The Injection shop, a sponsoring vendor on here has the pen needles and in smaller quantities. I bought a couple of different options in 25ct from them. they have more supplies too.

Thank you; I'll check them out. I THINK I'm about done buying things, which is also exciting! I've acquired or ordered:

Enough tirz that, if I were to have children, when those children became adults, they would ALSO not need to be fat
Two pens
Twenty sterile cartridges
Enough 4mm filters to do 20 cartridges
Enough 13mm filters to vent 20 cartridges
Enough bac water to drown a medium sized cat if I dumped it all in a bowl and the cat was more of a lover than a fighter
Enough 5/8 and 1/2 needles to not have to stress over "wasting" them when I am clumsy learning to filter
Enough klow for a year of on four weeks on, two off

I....guess I'm DONE, y'all! Which is good, because now the money I don't have to spend can go to a therapist for compulsive shopping.

(I am joking)

(kinda)
