Currently on 6mg Reta and everything going as planned. I’ve been up to 10.5 before no issues other than skin sensitivity. Rather than keep going up I wanted to try adding 2.5 tirz for the inflammatory benefits and appetite suppression. Was going to wait until I go on vacation so I don’t have to bring anything with me. How long does it take to feel the added suppression from tirz and do you think this is a good idea? Thanks!

I've done the opposite. I added reta to my tirzepatide - which was always low dose for me (I never went higher than 5 mg on Tirz). I added 2.5 of reta - it helped me drop the last 10 lbs to my goal weight but I had a few low blood sugar episodes with the combo. (My lowest glucose reading was an alarming 45 md/dL with my average while on both was 75-85 mg/dL). Tirz purportedly shows appetite suppression within 12h of injection but my experience has been that it kicks in within 4h. You should also be aware that there's a greater chance of dehydration and subsequent blood pressure tanking with Tirz because it blunts your thirst as well as appetite.

When are you going on vacation?

Adding 2.5mg of Tirz will take ~24 hours to peak, but starting out the noise cancelling can take a couple-few days to start. It's not particularly fast acting, especially if you don't have a base level already established.

If you're going to start taking it chronically, why not start now?

Cagri could be more of a PRN style appetite suppressor, but it can still the better part of a day to flatten your appetite (no first hand experience).

I switched from Tirz to Reta cold turkey. Though the appetite suppression diminished, I prefer to let the glucagon do it's thing instead of watering it down with a different glp.

Going the week of February vacation. Just 5 days so I was thinking of hitting the tirz right before I leave. I tried cagri both times I felt like garbage awful fatigue even at .25 sure it made me not eat but don’t want to feel like that going away.
