I finally got around to mixing up the water for injection (WFI) and benzyl alcohol a couple of days ago. I've got several swabs on two Petri dishes going on the make-shift-y-est of make shift warmers--the tight top of the back of the fridge. It keeps a surprisingly constant warm temp.

I mentioned in another post, this ain't science science over here.

Interestingly, it smells exactly like Hospira, neither the WFI nor the BA smelled like that on their own.

I guess we'll see.

So, a little update: there was one spot small spot that started to develop in Pd #1, but didn't grow. Nothing in Pd #2. I'm chalking up to some user error/cross contamination bc it's been a min since this lab lady worked in a sperm bank lab.

I started 2 more, so far so good, not a fuzz or growth in site with naked eye. Have to be checked under a scope. Any ideas on reagents that may make that part easier? I have a feeling sperm washin' isn't the same as this. You know, I'm going to look for a centrifuge on eBay hell, even amazon. I've never had to price out my ELISA machines on down. Just put it on the "I need it and bam, there it was, lol)

I mixed feteille BAC water with clean bottle of T30, filtered, and the applied and even injected some under the "skin" of the of the PD. We'll see.

In total, I've got 6 dishes going with only 1 showing tiny spherical growth. It hasn't enlarged or died off. The last 2 are mixed with T30.

And so we (maybe just me) wait.
