Been on Tirza for a couple of months and are switching to Reta slowly.
But ever since i started this journey my nightsleep is destroyed totally. Wake up at least 4-5 times every night and my total sleep is around 2-3 hours a night. And that is really frustrating because not even sleep medication helps.
Just want to know if anyone else has the same challenges on theese compunds and how do you manage it !

Reta makes it harder for me to sleep, more than tirz did.

It’s worst the night after an injection. Splitting the weekly dose into two smaller injections helped a lot.

I’ve also been prescribed 2 mg guanfacine ER, which blunts the “wired” feeling and heart-rate rise by reducing sympathetic activity. It’s been useful for focus and blood pressure too.

For sleep, my doctor prescribed a very low dose of quetiapine (12.5–25 mg). At that level it mainly acts as an antihistamine and sedative, not as an antipsychotic. It helps with both sleep and allodynia (skin pain). Good stuff.

100%. My sleep was fine till I lost a certain amount of weight (wish I had written it down). Suddenly, I stared waking up anywhere between 1 hr and 2 hrs after I fell asleep. Literally, it was either 60 min, 90 min or 120 min - nothing in between. I’ve had this problem over a year.

Obviously you should double check with a doctor. But after doing a deep dive into Ben Bikman videos, I decided to try drinking exogenous ketones right before bed. I did it for the first time last night. I did not wake up once. Obviously, 1 night could be a fluke, and there have been a handful of nights where’d I’d sleep through, so I need to keep trying it. But I’ll keep you posted.

You describe exactly my situation.
Falling asleep works but within 2 hours i wake up.
Even if i take perscribed sleep medication.

I’m going to try the ketones again for the next few nights and see if it helps. If so, I’ll definitely let you know.

I've always had (minor) issues with my sleep in that i wake up atleast once and sleep isn't as good after that, esp if I wake up after 4.5-5hours. I still got 7.5-8hours in bed with 1 hour wake up time, adequate deep and rem cycles at resting heart rate of around 60-65.

Nothing changed on mounjaro (upto 5mg) (2.5months). Switching to reta 2.5mg, and upto 3.33mg, things remained the same- wake up once or twice.

But, since upping reta to 5mg, my resting heart rate is ~75, sleep is really light and I wake up 3-4 times . Also, takes me longer to fall asleep and overall sleep time has come down from 6.5-7hours to 5-5.5. Feeling tired from lack of sleep, but preworkout and a coffee helps mask this for a while. (On ~300mg caffeine now vs 150 earlier). Still dozes off for few mins mid day/evening, even during my work (desk job, no danger).

I've read in a few places that this can happen for first 2-3 weeks when titrating up to a higher dose. So, I'm planning to fight through this for 2 more weeks before deciding on if it's worth it.

I've lost 8kgs so far, has only 4 more to go to be at 10% bodyfat.
I might drop down to 2.5mg reta and add 2.5mg tirz or go for 5-7.5mg tirz if sleep doesn't improve to atleast 6.5hrs sleep time with rHR below 70.
