Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out to gather some community feedback on international shipping from China, to US, as I'm currently navigating some challenges with a recent order and want to understand if others are experiencing similar delays.

Background: I placed an order with a Chinese supplier over a month ago. The first shipment arrived incomplete—I received less than half my items without being notified. The supplier has now reshipped the missing items, but I'm encountering frustrating communication gaps.

My Current Situation:
  • Notified on the 24th that items shipped, but no tracking numbers were provided initially
  • Had to request tracking numbers separately
  • Tracking shows no U.S. movement yet; I cannot see the package's location before it arrives stateside
  • I've requested confirmation of which specific items were actually shipped (given the first incomplete shipment)
  • The sales rep has not responded to my last few requests for confirmation of items that were actually shipped

I'm reaching out to you because:
  1. Timing concerns: Have you received shipments that left China after Chinese New Year? If so, how long did delivery take?
  2. Tracking transparency: Are others experiencing gaps in tracking information between China and U.S. arrival?
  3. Recent losses: Has anyone had packages seized, stopped, or lost in transit recently?
  4. General timeline: What's a realistic shipping window you've experienced from China to US post-CNY?
I understand international shipping has complexities, but I'm concerned about losing money on items that may not arrive. Any shared experiences would help me manage expectations and understand whether this is typical post-holiday congestion or a red flag.

Thank you for any insights.

Curious, no tracking available on 17track site?

I have an order in, placed after CNY, but they Told me up front it could be a few weeks bf shipping.

Another vendor posted this morning "Hello everyone. Due to the shortage of many products after the holiday, some shipments have been delayed. The factory is currently working overtime to catch up. Once there is sufficient stock, the goods will be dispatched one after another. Please don't be anxious or panic.@everyone"

Hopefully this helps at least one person. For Chinese orders, the tracking number you receive often only works on the US side once the package enters the US. That means you'll see something like "FedEx/USPS awaiting package" for at least two weeks and typically more.

BUT, the link below often (not always) let's you see the activity on the Chinese side as well. Use the same "US" tracking number:

Thanks for the tip!
I have never tried that tracking site before, but I found it VERY interesting. When I first entered my tracking number it briefly flashed me some tracking information from the China side of things, which I have never seen before. The interesting part was that it showed that the shipment was originating from The Notorious China City of Wuhan, which I have learned is home to a few of their largest peptide producing labs, and Yes, viruses.
The sales reps self-description as a manufacturer doesn't align with observable evidence. This discrepancy, if true—whether intentional or negligent—undermines my trust in their credibility and product accountability.
But, for that moment when it showed the flash of information, it did show that it had departed from Wuhan, for what that is worth. I still do not know the location, or its status...
