Are you happy that you found peptides?

Reta has given me my life back, and probably extended it by a decade or more. In fact, since I started almost a year ago, I could have been dead by now. Fact. Being obese (38 BMI) and an alcoholic is not a winning combination. Bad habits ruled the day. Those days are in the rearview mirror now. As far as the other peptides I've researched go, my only regret is that I didn't find them years ago because they have enriched my life in so many ways.

I'm in an engineering field and manage two teams of extremely smart people. Since cycling some of the cognitive peptides, I can now hang better with the technical conversations. Last week, several questions came up about a particular problem-solving approach and I was able to articulate the pros and cons, in detail, and show that the correct path was obvious. They just looked at me with their mouths open. I don't think I could have done that a year ago, and I don't think it was the placebo effect, but it happened.

I put a lot of research, like I always do, into my decision on what peptides would provide benefit based on my specific circumstances and there are some I will not touch. I also won't do oils, gear or SARMS (are they the same thing?) as those days have passed. I also didn't use them in my prime, so why start now? Other peptides are in the same category. But overall, they have enhanced my abilities, my mood and lifestyle and I don't see myself going back.
 
I like it. A think piece of sorts.

People are diving in head first without any reading or educating themselves on a lot of this stuff. Its just like gear...some folks go too hard, and I think it's always going to be that way, get bigger, stronger, leaner, more vascular.....until they die. (yes, I know one personally)

Many people on this thread make great points....we now have a word that describes it perfectly "looksmaxxing" but this obsession has always been there, we just didn't have social media pushing it to us at mass.

Thanks for your post, its nice to have multiple angles to make these decisions.
 
I don't think it has anything to do with people thinking they are not enough. Most everyone I know that take peptides are not doing it to change themselves but improve their quality of life. If they take for peptides a day for mental, physical, anti aging, and weight, they are doing so to improve their day to day life. Even if it's just placebo effect, if they feel better day to day then it works. I'm not seeing a problem with wanting a better version of yourself. I have not encountered a single person that feels peptides will change them from a 40 something overweight person to a 25 year old flawless model. Most are just trying to improve themselves overall, not morph into a whole different person. This is just my experience.......
 
I'm very happy to have found peptides. I was floundering in post menopause weight gain and nothing helped - not running, dieting, abstaining from alcohol - nothing. My sister happened to mention that she and her husband were using peptides and asked if I was interested. She walked me through everything I needed last June and I've never looked back. Both husband and I in this together. I am FINALLY back to my wedding weight (married 38 years) and feeling better than when I was 30 years old - I'm 63. We are in this for the long haul.

I will say doing as much research as possible has been key. I double check everything - and have only added a peptide after much research. So far, I only pin tirz (with a little reta on the side 3 days after tirz pin), NAD each day before I run, KLOW during the week, and I have just added glutathione this week.
 
I am more interested in longevity medicine now then I was before Glips. Glips saved my life and health, exercise fuels me now. I haven’t tried any other products except Tensofensine. Have been happy the last 3 years with Tirz, Sema and Cagri.

Yes, I've always heard about them since I follow celebrity/sports culture heavily and they openly talk about NAD, gluta and of course the iconic Oz or hearing athletes using peps for faster recovery. It's like an open secret. But I thought there was a huge barrier to get it & that pep therapy was only accessible for rich ppl.

I think a lot of them are hit or miss of course, so the thing is you really have to try it out yourself before writing it off. I thought it was all hype until I stumbled on a random cognitive one which helped me tremendously.

Before all this I was super into nootropics and obscure supplements anyways lol so I was used to using "experimental" stuff anyways only different is the form factor is an inj and not a capsule

And yeah I noticed in the community ppl are always chasing "the next best thing" while having a mountain of kits in their possession. It can get wonky. I find it extremely ironic ppl think they can find their life's solution in a vial when they shun pharma for selling you hopes and dreams in a pill. Two sides of the same coin. I think everyone should approach it w/low expectations either way.

I also do not believe in "the best stack", I see these peps the same way as prescription meds, you take what you need when you need it. And less is more.

The only thing I regret was not finding out about peptides sooner.

My health went downhill during the pandemic and honestly peptides wouldve been a huge help.

I would rather be obsessed with optimization than be stuck at home doing nothing and eating and drinking away. Now im like entering my 2nd prime.
