Everyone by now knows that Hospira BAC water will soon be gone without a prescription. Sneaky Pfizer......I do have 3 Qs for all you peptide gurus:

1) Besides Hospira.....any other reputable BAC water companies?

2) What is the oldest vial of BAC you have used and it was ok? I am sure it lasts more than 28 days

3) Vials come in 30ml. A peptide vial typically uses 2 to 4ml/ I am trying to figure out how to use a whole 30ml vial up and not have it go to waste. I thought of injecting multiple 3ml empty vials with one 30ml vial but was told it is not a good idea as the 3ml vials will "go bad". So, are you all mixing multiple syringes ???

Has anyone asked their physician for a prescription on this yet? It’s probably way cheaper than we were paying anyway.

I just look at it as a cost of doing business, and many people are buying expired.
We all have different levels of faith in the water, I use it for easy 45 days at that point I have my moneys worth full or empty and open a new one. If I paid $250 a case (i did not) that would be about $7.50 for a 6 week supply or about $1.25 a week.

It is high, but not too bad for a total cost of doing grey when you add up all costs, and I won't worry again for a few years. I have been known to pay more than $7.50 for a drink at the bar (too many times).

Someone will replace them or they will make their way to the market.

The average cost of a Fiji water bottle in a hotel can range from $8 to $24, depending on the location and hotel. Some hotels may charge even more, such as $21.95 at one hotel according to Tripadvisor. It's always a good idea to check the mini-bar price list or ask the front desk for the current price before purchasing a bottle

or 7.99 for a liter on amazon

It is indeed becoming a popular issue and topic (and I should probably turn off the swear filter for Hospira despite the fact that it makes me chuckle and is rather apropos).

The cynic in me says we only have ourselves to blame for giving these retailers too much publicity and bombarding them with orders every time there's a hint of disruption in availability.

BAC water has "always" required a prescription. Because it ultimately is just highly purified water with a spritz of benzyl alcohol, most of the medical supply houses simply turned a blind eye to the prescription requirement, likely assuming that the chances of enforcement action was slim to none.

I still suspect the main suppliers/distributors are not too worried about the FDA and/or whoever licenses them at the state and local level going after them for selling it without a prescription. However if it is indeed true that Pfizer is clamping down on the prescription requirement I'm inclined to believe it's at the behest of Novo and Lilly and not their own "concern" over people "abusing" their fancy alcohol water that they sell for $500+ a gallon.

I think in the end we're all better off just becoming more comfortable with the idea of finding reliable Chinese sources for BAC with the most consistent pH, etc. or simply making our own. For all of the current GLP-1's except cag, I'm personally not even too concerned if the pH is a tad outside the "ideal" range (especially when you consider how many people are using the garbage waters sold on Amazon and report back that it's fine). Frankly if all of us just start including some decent pH test strips or a meter as part of our collection of supplies, there's really little reason to keep playing this game with Hospira/Pfizer and just do the same thing we do with our magic vials of mystery powder and trust that some of the Chinese will get it dialed in pretty well and for a fraction of the price.

Personally, I'm still working through vials of BAC that expired in 2023. And I use every one of them until they're completely empty which right now takes around 4 months. My risk exposure profile may not be the same as anyone else's, so don't follow my lead and figure out what's best for your specific situation and comfort level.

Been researching for months to on brewing my own, and have posted prior here and there about it. I like to read, and prepare rather than the mad dash at the last minute. I'm comfotable in the formula I plan to use, but have not bought supplies yet, as a had brought a flat of BAC before the price jump. I am also confident that my making my own will certainly be more comforting to me than buying recon water made by random vendors. That's my research risk tolerance of course. BA, sterile/ distilled water, sterile vials, easily sourced.

Some people on STG managed to get telehealths like defy to write a prescription and send bac water. Apparently it works and it's extremely easy and inexpensive.
A lot of people tried going this route a year or so ago during yet another shortage at the time, and the problem many of them ran into is that most pharmacies don't actually stock BAC water and would have to special order it in. If this shortage persists and wholesale prices keep going up I'm curious to see if that manages to make this option no better than any other. What does a telehealth provider even charge for such a prescription? I would have to think that cost would tend to mitigate any actual savings.

I think it depends on the telehealth provider. Typically you pay a monthly fee for their service on top of whatever the appointment fee is.

Most are about $100/150 a month plus the dr fee $50/75 per visit. On top of what someone would pay for the Rx. So probably no savings benefit there.

This is an interesting topic though. I was recently talking with someone about this exact thing, as I am running out of BAC water and saw the increase in prices. Dang peptide junkies 😂

AFAIK there are still a number of vendors selling Hospira BAC in the $10-$14 per vial range (at least for now) which really isn't a terrible deal IMHO especially if you're buying other items from that vendor at the same time. I'd be really interested to hear from someone who went the telehealth route for their BAC what the net cost ended up being so everyone can have a better idea whether or not that's a viable option for them.

EDIT: I don't remember with 100% certainty, but I'm pretty sure that my first bottle of BAC from SAF when I started down this road so long ago was $19.99 lol.

I almost ordered a case when it was $90, but decided to be prudent and wait until it was $235. Then right after I ordered it dropped to $205, and shortly after that I learned I could have just ordered a case of BAC saline for $85 instead. I'm now waiting to be trampled by a moose and bit in the nuts by a rabid skunk.

I probably need to expand my vendor search, but I’m comfortable with where I go. They don’t offer BAC and it would be easier to just buy a case of it.

I see it still for $19.99. The place I originally got BAC from was $12.00 and now it’s $17.00.
