In the absence of Hospira in Europe, I thought I would buy 1. vendor bac water, 2. Genetek bac water and 3. Tiezeeu recon solution I found off Amazon. This will allow me to see which of these work (or don't) and/or potentially discover new alernatives.

Have you tried any of them?

Which one would you feel safest using?

I will be ordering Hospira shortly (I've found a reliable source in the meanwhile) even though 30ml is much more than I'll be needing in 1 month. How long do you keep using yours after the first poke?

What do you mean "work"?

I find happiness with reconning a bunch of vials at once, freezing the reconned vials that I'm not yet using, and freezing the unused part of the 30mL Hospira vial for later use. There are counter-arguments to doing both of those things, so do a lot of searching and reading until you find your comfort zone.

Your other options (search and learn) are making your own bacteriostatic water in your non-sterile environment (which might be more sterile that vendor/Amazon bac factories), or using plain sterile water which isn't intended for multi-draw. But you're not using it between patients in a hospital filled with dangerous microbes. I'd definitely read up on modified practices before going with sterile water.

By "work" I mean something that actually reconstitutes and doesn't kill me, otherwise I'm not too concerned really.

Thanks for pointing me towards the Continental Cafe section...great stuff!

I personally have kept BAC water past 90 days when I was only pinning one peptide at a low dose. Nowadays I pin 6 'tides for 3 research subjects, BAC water doesn't stick around much past 30 days in any case.

At the end of the day it's all down to what risk you're comfortable with taking on. Personally I'm more worried about staph and endotoxins in the 'tides, than if the only actual "medical grade" product in the equation is good to go. It is.
