So funny story my doctor prescribed me zepbound and naturally my insurance company denied coverage. So while I'm working on appealing that with them I decided to go to one of those spas. I figure theyre using stuff from one of those compounding pharmacies we have in the US, the price was similar.

Anyways after my first shot I'm doing great, I got down a rabbithole and end up on here among other places and really take a good look around at all the information resources. But I'm still on the fence its all kind of scary for a newbie. So I go back for my second shot a few days ago and Im standing there and theyre like "hold on a second I have to prepare this" and then they pull out a case and then a vial of lyopholized powder and a vial of BAC water... now I'm *pretty sure* that's not how compounding pharmacies in the US ship things out. I nearly laughed my ass off but I finished up and left.

This seems like a great community! Thanks everyone for sharing what they know. Now I'm gonna order some things.

But did they call you Dear?
heh, at least you saw them take the mystery out of recon and dose, that was worth the price of admission.

Most times, spas are using gray too. It's not worth the money. Why pay those prices when you can do it yourself for so much cheaper. Welcome!

Med spas need a real licensed provider, one who can practice independently. The provider could be prosecuted and lose his/her license for selling research peptides

It happens too many times. It's just wrong misleading people. I like better where I'm at now. Everything is upfront and layed down on the table. Everybody takes chances, but at least you know what your going for and small bumps in the road that could possibly happen. At least when you're into research products, most times, everything is okay, and well worth it by far, and things go great. Going into research is a personal choice, but it's YOUR choice and not some doctor/spa charging you through the nose, giving you products without your knowledge of what they really are. In my personal opinion, when it comes to your health, this is the place to be.

I agree but so many med spas operate in their own “grey area.” The area I live in is saturated with med spas. Doctors or nurse practitioners attach their name to them but are never on site. I am sure there are some good ones though, but it seems like most of the staff take a weekend course on a new device or treatment and they hit the ground running for sales. The med spa I used to get my B12 shots from was pushing Sema. They would give people a ziploc bag of prefilled syringes. I was already on compound, but I kept thinking about all the trust involved from those buying the Sema. Those people walking out with their baggies never saw a Jano test or the vial it came from. Who knows what was in those syringes…then I thought about they B12 they were giving me. I was blindly trusting them too. That made me feel more comfortable moving on to grey. At least I have the opportunity to test it.
