As the title states, give me your best tips/tricks for constipation caused by Reta.

I’m actively quitting kratom as I know that surely will exacerbate it, but outside of that, what’s the best methods?

I’m also curious on what should be done regarding lab testing while on Reta/GLPs for the first time, and whether it’s necessary or not.

Thank you guys in advance, the answers are greatly appreciated! 🤙🏻

Kratom definitely is not helping. You need to have a balanced diet while on Reta too many carbs or junk doesn’t help either, prioritising protein and fibre is what I have found helps and along with physical activities. But as Reta is designed to slow digestion you will have slower bowel movements in general even with doing these things.

I have also heard that stacking Reta with BPC 157 and TB 500 has been very helpful with Reta constipation, I even have some in my freezer but I’m yet to try it myself.

In regards to lab testing if you mean bloodwork then in my opinion it’s not necessary. The only thing worth checking is your glucose and simple blood glucose meter will help you keep track of that. If you mean getting your retatrutide tested by a lab like janoshik then that’s entirely up to you, just boils down to do you trust your supplier and have they given you a up to date COA with batch number.

Hope this helps!

Thanks a ton for your detailed reply bossman! Very, very informative and helpful. I quit the Kratom, and the constipation is certainly letting up. The first vial I got (and have been using) has been from a website that seems a little sketchy to me. I don't know if I'm getting placebo'd or not, but I did just order a kit from nexaph so we'll see the difference. I take BPC and TB4 orally twice a day, but will look into the subq version. I'm certainly assured by the lack of needing bloodwork, so outside of that, most of my concerns have been taken care of. Thanks again!

If you did want to get bloodwork done get your kidneys and liver functions that’s about all you would need but I would’ve recommended getting a baseline before starting the peptides just so you could see if they were having any adverse effects but glad I could help even if it’s just a tiny bit best of luck

Find the cheapest possible polyethylene glycol 3350 product, like generic Miralax, and take it often. Make sure you drink plenty of water, you need to be well hydrated for it to work.

AFAIK this kind of laxative is safe to take regularly, but "do your own research."

Increasing your non-soluble fiber intake can only help, too.

So I ordered Mag07 off Amazon for this issue. I shit you not, it definitely works! My spouse who seems to be chronically locked up (even before peps) had immediate overnight relief.

However, don’t trust those morning farts. Just…… don’t.

I contacted my drs office about the labs even though I'm already on my fourth dose (as of today), in week two. We'll see what happens. Thanks again brother.

Very useful piece of information here. Gonna do some research on it. I took miralax in the first week cause I was super backed up, and it helped, so I'll find something cheap and similar. Thanks a lot bro.
